Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan urgensi penanaman nilai-nilai multikultural, implementasi penanaman nilai-nilai multikultural, dan respons yang didapat dari penanaman nilai-nilai multikultural tersebut dengan studi kasus di Pondok Pesantren Kauman Lasem yang mana pesantren ini terletak di kawasan pecinan (komunitas Tionghoa) namun sejak berdirinya pesantren ini, pesantren mampu beradaptasi dengan masyarakat sekitar yang mayoritas non muslim dan tidak pernah mengalami perselisihan sedikitpun. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus (case study) yang mendeskripsikan penanaman nilai-nilai multikultural di pondok pesantren kauman lasem pada kasus masyarakat non-monolitik di kawasan pecinan (komunitas Tionghoa). Sumber data diperoleh dari hasil observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Observasi dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Kauman Lasem, Rembang, Jawa Tengah pada bulan Maret Tahun 2020. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori tentang konsep kohesi sosial (Emile Durkheim), konsep dan nilai-nilai multikultural, serta konsep pendidikan pondok pesantren (KH. Imam Zarkasyi). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa urgensi penanaman nilai-nilai multikultural di pondok pesantren kauman lasem didasarkan dari pandangan teologis dan sosiologis. Sedangkan nilai-nilai multikulturalnya terimplementasi dalam dua aspek, yaitu aspek formal akademis pedagogis dan non-formal sosiologis. Adapun respons yang diperoleh pondok pesantren dari penanaman nilai-nilai multikultur tersebut menuai respons asosiatif dan disosiatif. This study aims to describe the urgency of planting multicultural values, the implementation of planting multicultural values, and the responses obtained from the cultivation of these multicultural values with a case study at the Kauman Lasem Islamic Boarding School, which is located in the Chinatown area (Chinese community). however, since the establishment of this pesantren, the pesantren has been able to adapt to the surrounding community, which is mostly non-Muslim and has never experienced the slightest dispute. This research uses descriptive qualitative research using a case study approach which describes the cultivation of multicultural values in the Kauman Lasem Islamic boarding school in the case of non-monolithic communities in the Chinatown area (Chinese community). Sources of data obtained from the results of observations, interviews, and documentation studies. Observations were made at the Kauman Lasem Islamic Boarding School, Rembang, Central Java in March 2020. The theory used in this study is the theory of the concept of social cohesion (Emile Durkheim), multicultural concepts and values, and the concept of Islamic boarding school education (KH. Imam Zarkasyi). The results of this study indicate that the urgency of planting multicultural values in the Kauman Lasem Islamic boarding school is based on theological and sociological perspectives. Meanwhile, the multicultural values are implemented in two aspects, namely formal academic pedagogical aspects and sociological non-formal aspects. The responses obtained by the boarding schools from the cultivation of multicultural values have resulted in both associative and dissociative responses.
