Abstract

This study aims to determine the vocal techniques used in Karena Ku Sanggup which includes breathing, articulation, resonance, vocal range and voice register, as well as interpretation. This study used qualitative and descriptive research methods through literature review, observation of video documentation, and interviews with informant. The results showed that Agnes Monica's vocal range up to Eb6 using the whistle technique, Karena Ku Sanggup can be mastered by using a wide vocal range and support from breathing, articulation, resonance, and interpretation. Karena Ku Sanggup able to be sung by someone who is proficient in mastering the various of vocal techniques, not for beginners. The form of Karena Ku Sanggup already appropriate to the characteristics of pop songs as intro, verse, coda, chorus, transition, bridge, and coda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui teknik vokal yang digunakan pada lagu Karena Ku Sanggup karya Agnes Monica yang mencakup pernapasan, artikulasi, resonansi, jarak vokal (range) dan register suara, serta interpretasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan deskriptif melalui kajian pustaka, observasi video dokumentasi lagu Karena Ku Sanggup karya Agnes Monica, serta wawancara dengan narasumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jarak vokal Agnes Monica mempunyai rentang sampai Eb6 dengan menggunakan teknik whistle, sehingga lagu Karena Ku Sanggup dapat dikuasai dengan menggunakan jarak vokal yang luas serta adanya dukungan pernapasan, artikulasi, resonansi, dan interpretasi. Untuk dapat menyanyikan lagu Karena Ku Sanggup membutuhkan penguasaan teknik vokal yang memadai. Maka dari itu, lagu Karena Ku Sanggup dapat dinyanyikan oleh seseorang yang sudah mahir dalam menguasai berbagai penggunaan teknik vokal, bukan untuk pemula. Struktur lagu Karena Ku Sanggup sudah memenuhi karakteristik kerangka lagu pop yang tediri dari intro, verse, chorus, transisi, bridge, dan coda.
