Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh regulasi emosi terhadap selfesteem mahasiswa akhir di Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 182 mahasiswa akhir di Universitas Negeri Jakarta pada angkatan tahun 2014 sampai tahun 2016. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantittatif dengan isntrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner yang dianalisa dengan menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Alat ukur penelitian ini menggunakan skala regulasi emosi dari Gross dan John (2003) dengan jumlah butir yang digunakan sebanyak 9 dari 10 butir pada skala tersebut dan skala self-esteem dari Rosenberg (1965). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan regulasi emosi memiliki pengaruh sebesar 29,8% terhadap self-esteem pada mahasiswa akhir Universitas Negeri Jakarta. This study aims to determine the effect of emotional regulation on the self-esteem of final students at State University of Jakarta. The sample in this study was 182 final students at the State University of Jakarta in the class of 2014 to 2016. The method in this study was quantitative with a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire that was analyzed using simple regression analysis. This research measuring instrument uses the scale of emotional regulation from Gross and John (2003) with the number of items used as many as 9 items out of 10 items on that scale and the self-esteem scale from Rosenberg (1965). The analysis results showed that the significance (p) of 0,000 (p < 0,05). Based on these results, it can be conclude that the hypothesis of this study has been accepted, which stated that there is a significant influence of emotional regulation having an effect of 29.8% on self-esteem in the final students at State University of Jakarta.
