Abstract

ICT Competencies have become inseparable human competencies in the 21st Century. These facts have influenced the planning and implementation of educational program. This research focused on the English text book for Senior High School as one important components of English learning in the Indonesian context. It is aimed at investigating the representation of ICT competencies in the English learning materials for X (ten) graders of Senior High School. Content analysis was employed in this study. The data were Hypermedia, Hyperlink, Multimedia, and Communication Media representing the ICT Competencies covered in the English textbook components. The results showed that (1) there are several forms were found such as Hypermedia, Hyperlink, Multimedia, and Communication Media. English Textbook for senior high school for grade X dominantly represented by the form of Hyperlink as the highest percentage with 86% among the others forms. (2) The findings showed that Knowledge Deepening – Accessing Information become the most dominant ICT Competencies Representation found in English textbook. Kompetensi TIK telah menjadi kompetensi manusia yang tidak dapat dipisahkan di abad 21. Fakta-fakta tersebut telah mempengaruhi perencanaan dan pelaksanaan program pendidikan. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada buku teks Bahasa Inggris untuk Sekolah Menengah Atas sebagai salah satu komponen penting pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris dalam konteks Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui representasi kompetensi TIK dalam materi pembelajaran bahasa Inggris untuk siswa kelas X (sepuluh) SMA. Analisis isi digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Data pada penelitian ini adalah Hypermedia, Hyperlink, Multimedia, dan Media Komunikasi yang mewakili Kompetensi TIK yang tercakup dalam komponen buku teks Bahasa Inggris. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) ditemukan beberapa bentuk seperti Hypermedia, Hyperlink, Multimedia, and Communication Media. Buku teks Bahasa Inggris untuk SMA kelas X secara dominan diwakili oleh bentuk Hyperlink sebagai persentase tertinggi dengan 86% diantara bentuk lainnya. (2) Temuan menunjukkan bahwa Knowledge Deepening - Accessing Information menjadi Representasi Kompetensi TIK yang paling dominan terdapat di buku teks Bahasa Inggris.
