Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menarasikan bagaimana strategi pemberdayaan yang dilakukan oleh Yayasan Raudhatul Makfufin dalam membangun membentuk kemandirian santri tunanetra serta melihat manfaat dan dampak dari pemberdayaan tersebut. Aspek pemberdayaan dikaji melalui teori pemberdayaan dari Jim Ife. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan metode penelitian studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Yayasan Raudhatul Makfufin Tangerang Selatan. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 12 informan, terdiri dari 2 informan pengasuh, 3 informan pembimbing, 4 informan alumni, 2 informan santri aktif di Yayasan Raudhatul Makfufin Tangerang Selatan. Serta informan tambahan 1 dari masyarakat. Dalam pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam pada informan, pengamatan, dan berupa data sekunder seperti tinjauan penelitian sebelumnya, sumber informasi pada web internet dan data KPU RI 2019. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan yang dilakukan Yayasan Raudhatul Makfufin Kota Tangerang Selatan sudah cukup baik. Pemberdayaan untuk membentuk sumber daya manusia berkualitas bagi santri tunanetra sudah dapat dirasakan memberikan manfaat melalui kesadaran terhadap penerimaan diri serta perkembangan kemandirian para santri tunanetra tersebut. Starategi pemberdayaan menimbulkan pengaruh yang penting bagi santri tunanetra di Yayasan Raudhatul Makfufin untuk perkembanganya. Pemberdayaan dalam mengembangkan potensi dan membentuk keahlian yang di miliki oleh para santri perlu adanya tambahan dari fasilitas seperti ruangan praktik komputer, penambahan ruangan untuk asrama. Hal ini menjadi indikator penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas SDM agar dapat lebih baik dalam penataan di asrama sehingga dapat memotivasi prestasi santri lebih baik lagi dari segi penerimaan diri dan perkembangan kemandirianya. This study aims to narrate how the empowerment strategy carried out by the Raudhatul Makfufin Foundation in building the independence of blind santri and seeing the benefits and impacts of this empowerment. The empowerment aspect is studied through Jim Ife's empowerment theory. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study research method. This research was conducted at Raudhatul Makfufin Foundation, South Tangerang. The research subjects consisted of 12 informants, consisting of 2 caregiver informants, 3 mentor informants, 4 alumni informants, 2 active santri informants at the Raudhatul Makfufin Foundation, South Tangerang. As well as an additional informant 1 from the community. Data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews with informants, observations, and in the form of secondary data such as previous research reviews, information sources on the internet web and 2019 KPU RI data. The results of this study indicate that the empowerment carried out by the Raudhatul Makfufin Foundation in South Tangerang City is quite good. Empowerment to form quality human resources for blind santri can be felt to provide benefits through awareness of self-acceptance and the development of the independence of these blind santri. The empowerment strategy has an important influence on the blind santri at the Raudhatul Makfufin Foundation for their development. Empowerment in developing potential and forming the skills possessed by the students needs additional facilities such as computer practice rooms, additional rooms for dormitories. This is an important indicator to improve the quality of human resources so that they can be better structured in the dormitory so that it can motivate the students' achievement to be even better in terms of self-acceptance and development of independence.
