Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat antara self-efficacy dan prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengukur prokrastnasi akademik disusun oleh peneliti menggunakan dasar teori Ferarri, sedangkan alat ukur self-efficacy diadopsi dari penelitian Enkizar dkk yang didasarkan dari teori Albert Bandura. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode probability sampling. Hasil penelitian dari 160 sampel menemukan bahwa 86,9% responden memiliki perilaku prokrastinasi akademik yang tinggi sedangkan 13,1% lainnya rendah. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan nilai p = 0,107 dengan taraf signifikan 0,05. Analisis tersebut mengungkapkan tidak terdapatnya hubungan yang signifikan antara self-efficacy dan prokrastinasi akademik pada populasi. Hasil uji analisis varians pun tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang siginifikan pada perilaku prokrastinasi akademik dilihat dari aktivitas kegiatan nonakademik mereka. This study aims to determine whether a significant correlation between self-efficacy and academic procrastination in the students at the State University of Jakarta (UNJ) happens or not. This research uses a quantitative approach. The measuring instrument used for academic procrastination is constructed by the researcher using theories base by Ferrari. Meanwhile measuring instrument for self-efficacy adopted from Enkizar’s research that using Albert Bandura’s theory as a basis. For sampling techniques, this study using probability sampling. The result of this study reveals students who show high academic procrastination behavior consists of 86,9% from the total population while the other 13,1% shows low at it. Correlation test reveals that p = 0,107 with significant level 0,05. That means there is not any significant correlation in self-efficacy and academic procrastination. The result from analysis variance also reveals there is not any significant difference at academic procrastination bases from student nonacademic activity.
