Abstract
Kata Kunci: Subjective Well-being, Kepuasan Hidup, Afek Positif, Afek Negatif, Regulasi Emosi, Cognitive Reappraisal, Expressive Suppression, Remaja Akhir This study aims to find the effect of emotion regulation (cognitive reappraisal and expressive suppression) on subjective well-being (life satisfaction, positive affect, and negative affect) in late adolescence. This research is quantitative research and uses the ex-post facto method. The retrieval of research data was conducted by spreading the online questionnaire to the late adolescents aged 18-22 containing instruments of Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE), and Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ). The sampling technique used is accidental sampling with 349 respondents. The hypothesis were tested by using simple linear regression analyses by obtaining six hypothesis testing results. Based on the results of the study, it found that there is a significant effect of emotion regulation (cognitive reappraisal) contribute 5,6% to subjective well-being of life satisfaction in late adolescence; there is no significant effect of the emotion regulation (expressive suppression) on subjective well-being of life satisfaction in the late adolescence; there is a significant effect of emotion regulation (cognitive reappraisal) contribute 6.5% on subjective well-being of positive affect in the late adolescence; there is no significant effect of the emotion regulation (expressive suppression) on subjective well-being of positive affect in the late adolescence; there is a significant effect of emotion regulation (cognitive reappraisal) contribute 1.4% on subjective well-being of negative affect in the late adolescence; and ; there is no significant effect of the emotion regulation (expressive suppression) on subjective well-being of negative affect in the late adolescence. Keywords: Subjective Well-being, Life Satisfaction, Positive Affect, Negative Affect, Regulasi Emosi, Cognitive Reappraisal, Expressive Suppression, Late Adolescence
