Abstract

ABSTRAK Ekranisasi merupakan pelayarputihan atau pengangkatan sebuah novel ke film. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui serta mendeskripsikan proses ekranisasi pada fakta cerita novel dan film Raksasa dari Jogja. Proses ekranisasi tersebut meliputi penambahan, penciutan, dan pemunculan variasi-variasi. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah ekranisasi Pamusuk Eneste dan strukturalisme Robert Stanton. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data diperoleh menggunakan teknik studi pustaka, teknik baca, dan teknik dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terjadi proses ekranisasi pada fakta cerita novel. Berdasarkan ketiga proses ekranisasi, perubahan bervariasi merupakan yang paling dominan terjadi, penciutan tidak terlalu banyak terjadi, sedangkan penambahan yang paling sedikit terjadi dalam novel dan film Raksasa dari Jogja. Penciutan terjadi karena menurut sutradara terdapat bagian tidak sesuai dengan film sehingga harus dihilangkan. Penambahan yang terjadi pada film mampu memperkuat konflik sehingga penonton semakin terhibur. Perubahan bervariasi terjadi karena adanya kreativitas sutradara untuk membangun cerita dalam proses ekranisasi sehingga dapat lebih realistis dan sesuai dengan logika penonton. Meskipun terdapat banyak perubahan, tetapi perubahan tersebut masih memiliki relevansi dengan isu yang diusung pada novelnya. Kata kunci: Ekranisasi, Fakta Cerita, Raksasa dari Jogja ****************** ABSTRACT Ekranization is the portrayal or appointment of a novel to a film. This study aims to determine and describe the process of ecranization on the facts of story from the novel and film The Giant from Jogja. The ecranization process includes adding, shrinking, and appearing variations. The theory used in this research is ecranization by Pamusuk Eneste's and structuralism Robert Stanton's. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data were obtained using literature study techniques, reading techniques, and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that there is an ecranization process in the facts of the novel. Based on the three ecranization processes, varied changes are the most dominant, with less shrinkage occurring, while the least additions occur in the novel and film The Giant from Jogja. The shrinking occurred because according to the director there were parts that did not match the film so that they had to be removed. The additions that occurred in the film were able to strengthen the conflict so that the audience was even more entertained. Various changes occur due to the creativity of the director to build the story in the process of ecranization so that it can be more realistic and in accordance with the logic of the audience. Although, there have been many changes, these changes still have relevance to the issues raised in the novel. Keywords: Ecranization, Facts Story, Film, Novel, The Giant from Jogja.
