Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media flashcard berbasis whole language pada pembelajaran menulis deskripsi kelas III Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan hanya sampai uji coba perorangan atau one to one dengan 3 orang peserta didik kelas III. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ASSURE. Terdapat enam tahapan yang dilakukan dalam pengembangan ini yaitu tahap Analyze learners, State standards objektives, Select methods, media, or materials, Utilize media or materials, Require learner’s participation, Evaluate and revise. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Responden dalam pengembangan ini diantaranya, satu dosen ahli materi, satu dosen ahli media, satu dosen ahli bahasa, guru kelas III SD, dan peserta didik kelas III. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran flashcard di kelas III SD dinilai sangat baik, hal ini terlihat dari nilai rata-rata menurut para ahli sebesar 96,7% dan kuesioner peserta didik uji coba one to one sebesar 95,23%. Media flashcard ini termasuk dalam kriteria sangat baik, sehingga layak untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran menulis deskripsi di kelas III sekolah dasar. This development research aims to improving flashcard media based on whole language on writing description learning in grade III. This research implemented until one to one testing with 3 students as the sample. The research method that used is research and development method with the ASSURE model reseaech. According that, there are six steps within this development Analyze learners, State standards objektives, Select methods, media, or materials, Utilize media or materials, Require learner’s participation, Evaluate and revise. The data collection technique used observation, interview, and questionnaire. The respondents according this research are an expert lesson lecture, an expert media lecture, and an expert language lecture, teacher of grade III Elementary school, and the students of grade III Elementary school. The results of the research shows that flashcard learning media in grade III elementary school was considered very good, this could be seen on average score through the expert 96,7% and the result of the questionnaire one by one is 95,23%. Flashcard learning media was condired very good, with the result of that fits to use as learning media on writing description in grade III elementary school.
