Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh permainan papan dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap kemampuan number sense pada anak usia dini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain treatment by level 2x2. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 36 anak didik kelompok A di TK BPK Bandar Lampung. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket kecerdasan emosional, dan tes kemampuan number sense anak. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) number sense pada anak didik kelompok A yang diberikan media permainan ular tangga lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan number sense anak didik kelompok A yang diberikan media permainan papan, (2) number sense anak dengan kecerdasan emosional tinggi lebih baik daripada anak dengan kecerdasan emosional rendah, (3) Adanya antara permainan ular tangga dan permainan papan terhadap hasil kemampuan number sense, (4) Number sense anak didik yang diajar menggunakan media permainan ular tangga lebih tinggi dibandingkan anak didik yang diajar menggunakan media permainan papan pada kelompok anak didik dengan kecerdasan emosional tinggi, dan (5) Tidak terdapat perbedaan antara permainan ular tangga dan permainan papan terhadap hasil kemampuan number sense bagi anak yang memiliki kecerdasan emosional rendah. Kata Kunci: Kecerdasan Emosional, Number sense, Permainan Papan, Ular Tangga ***** The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of board games and emotional intelligence onnumber sense ability in early childhood. The research method used was an experimental design witha 2x2 treatment level. The subjects of this study were 36 students of group A in TK BPK BandarLampung. The instruments used in this study were an emotional intelligence questionnaire and atest for the child's number sense ability. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the number senseof group A students who were given snake and ladder game media was higher than group A studentswho were given board game media, (2) the number sense of children with high emotionalintelligence was better compared to children with low emotional intelligence, (3) There is a gamebetween snakes and ladders and board games on the results of the number sense ability, (4) Thenumber sense of students taught using snake and ladder game media is higher than students taughtusing board game media on groups of students with high emotional intelligence, and (5) There is nodifference between snake and ladder games and board games on the results of the number senseability for children with low emotional intelligence
