Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar IPS siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation (GI). Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah kurangnya motivasi belajar IPS pada siswa kelas IV SDN kenari 07 Jakarta Pusat. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan minimal 2 siklus. Subyek penelitian berjumlah 31 siswa kelas IV A SDN Kenari 07 Jakarta Pusat. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengisian angket untuk motivasi belajar IPS dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar IPS siswa. Pada siklus I persentase motivasi belajar IPS siswa yang sudah mencapai target ialah 58% dari jumlah siswa kelas, kemudian pada siklus ke- II persentase motivasi belajar IPS meningkat mencapai 87% dari total siswa dan sudah melebihi dari target penelitian yakni 80% atau 25 siswa dari total jumlah siswa 31 mencapai tingkat motivasi sangat tinggi. Dalam pemantauan aktivitas guru dan siswa pada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation pada siklus satu guru mendapat skor 75% dan untuk aktivitas siswa mendapat skor 65%, kemudian pada siklus II presentase pemantauan aktivitas guru dan siswa meningkat menjadi 95% skor untuk guru dan 90% skor untuk aktivitas siswa. ********** This research aims to implement a type of cooperative learning model that is Group Investigation (GI) to increase the motivation in learning social science in forth grade students in SDN Kenari 07 Jakarta Pusat. Classroom Action Research (CAR) is employed in at least two circles conducted upon a total of 31 research subjects from IV-A grade in SDN Kenari 07 Jakarta Pusat. The data collecting procedure consists of filling in questionnaires related to motivation in learning social science and observation. The study shows that implementing Group Investigation (GI) is effective to increase the students' motivation in learning social science. In the first circle, 58% of research subjects demonstrates increasing motivation to learn social science. The result has climbed up in the second circle, showing the motivation within 87% of research subjects, which have surpassed the research target for having 80% or 25 research subjects in indicating motivational improvement, have escalated in learning social science. While monitoring the activities both the teachers and the students within the first cycle of Group Investigation (GI), the result shows that the teachers scored 75% and students scored 65%. The second circle demonstrates increasing scores of both the teachers and the students consecutively 95% and 90%.
