Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis motif yang ada pada puisi Marie Luise Kaschnitz. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik studi pustaka. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa satu atau beberapa kata dan dengan sumber data yang berupa tiga puisi berjudul Hiroshima, Bräutigam Froschkönig, Picasso in Rom. Tiga puisi tersebut terdapat dalam Neue Gedichte yang diambil dari Selected Later Poems of Marie Luise Kaschnitz terjemahan Lisa Mueller. Penelitian ini mengacu pada teori motif dari Marquaß. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat 58 motif yang ditemukan dalam puisi Hiroshima, Bräutigam Froschkönig, Picasso in Rom. Pada puisi yang berjudul Hiroshima ditemukan 27 motif. 27 motif ini terdiri dari 18 Typenmotive, 2 Situationsmotive, 6 Raummotiven, 1 Zeitmotive. Pada puisi yang berjudul Bräutigam Froschkönig ditemukan 19 motif. 19 Motif ini terdiri dari 15 Typenmotive, 1 Situationsmotive, 1 Raummotiven, 2 Zeitmotive. Pada puisi Picasso in Rom ditemukan 12 motif. 12 motif ini terdiri dari 7 Typenmotive, 1 Situationsmotive, 3 Raummotiven, 1 Zeitmotive. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa motif-motif yang telah ditemukan dapat membantu pembaca untuk semakin memahami ketiga puisi tersebut. Puisi Hiroshima menceritakan tentang kehidupan pilot sebelum dan sesudah menjatuhkan bom di Hiroshima. Puisi Bräutigam Froschkönig menceritakan tentang seseorang yang bertugas dalam perang dan perasaannya. Lalu puisi Picasso in Rom menceritakan kehancuran sebuah tempat akibat perang, serta korban-korban yang tewas. This study is aimed for analysing motif in poetry by Marie Luise Kaschnitz. The method which is used in this study is qualitative descriptive method with literature study techniques. The data in this study is one or some words and the data sources are three poetries titled Hiroshima, Bräutigam Froschkönig, Picasso in Rom. Those three poetries are in Neue Gedichte that are taken from Selected Later Poems of Marie Luise Kaschnitz that was translated by Lisa Mueller. This study used motif theory from Marquaß. The result of this study are 58 motifs in poetries titled Hiroshima, Bräutigam Froschkönig, Picasso in Rom. In poetry titled Hiroshima, 27 motifs were found. These 27 motifs consist of 18 Typenmotive, 2 Situationsmotive, 6 Raummotiven, 1 Zeitmotive. In poetry titled Bräutigam Froschkönig, 19 motifs were found. These 19 motifs consist of 15 Typenmotive, 1 Situationsmotive, 1 Raummotiven, 2 Zeitmotive. In poetry titled Picasso in Rom, 12 motifs were found. These 12 motifs consist of 7 Typenmotive, 1 Situationsmotive, 3 Raummotiven, 1 Zeitmotive. Based on the study’s result, it can be concluded that the motifs finding can help the readers to understand those three poetries. Hiroshima poetry tells about pilot’s life before and after dropping the bomb in Hiroshima. Bräutigam Froschkönig poetry tells about someone who has duty in war and his feeling. Then, Picasso in Rom poetry tells about the destruction of a place because of war and the dead victims.
