Abstract

UMMI INDRIANA (2021), Tradisi Mewarangi Keris: Bentuk Kelisanan dan Nilai Kearifan Lokal pada Masyarakat Purworejo, Jawa Tengah. Skripsi Jakarta: Program Studi Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Januari 2021. Me-warang-i keris merupakan tradisi lisan masyarakat Jawa yang masih dipertahankan hingga saat ini. Salah satu yang masih melakukan tradisi ini adalah masyarakat Purworejo. Di Purworejo juga terdapat Museum yang menyimpan keris dan melakukan tradisi me-warang-i keris sejak 1987. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk kelisanan dan nilai kearifan lokal pada tradisi me-warang-i keris di Purworejo. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif, terutama menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data, observasi dan dilakukan wawancara yang mendalam untuk mengetahui bentuk kelisanan dan nilai kearifan lokal yang terkandung pada tradisi me-warang-i keris. Berdasarkan analisis ditemukan bentuk kelisanan yang terdiri dari pra me-warang-i keris, saat me-warang-i keris, dan pasca me-warang-i keris, yaitu a) adanya doa pada saat membuka keris dari warangka, b) pewarisannya disampaikan secara lisan atau dari mulut ke mulut, dan c) adanya gerakan yang mendukung tradisi lisan me-warang-i keris. Kemudian nilai kearifan lokal ditemukan pada tradisi me-warang-i keris adalah a) komitmen, b) peduli lingkungan, dan c) kerja keras. Me-warang-i keris is an oral tradition of Javanese society which is still preserved to this day. One of those who still practice this tradition is the Purworejo people. In Purworejo, there is also a museum that stores keris and has carried out the tradition of me-warang-i keris since 1987. This study aims to see the form of oral wisdom and local wisdom values in the tradition of me-warang-i keris in Purworejo. The methodology used in this research is a qualitative method, especially using data techniques, observation and in-depth interviews to determine the form of oral wisdom and the value of local wisdom contained in the me-warang-i keris tradition. Based on the analysis, it is found that the form of orality consists of pre-warang-i keris, when warang-i keris, and post-warang-i keris, namely a) there is a prayer when opening the keris from the warangka, b) the inheritance is conveyed in a simple manner. oral or word of mouth, and c) the movement that supports the oral tradition of me-warang-i keris. Then the value of local wisdom found in the tradition of me-warang-i keris is a) commitment, b) caring for the environment, and c) hard work.
