Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan pariwisata berbasis masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Kasepuhan Karang di Pesona Maranti dan Curug Karimuay beserta dampak yang dirasakan oleh masyarakat. Penelitian dilakukan terpisah pada 27 Desember-28 Desember dan 17 Januari – 19 Januari 2021. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dengan teknik analisis data interaktif. Sample pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan snowballing sampling. Teknik purposive sampling dilakukan untuk menentukan informan penting (Key Informan) yang dianggap paling tahu. Informan kunci pada penelitian ini adalah Engkos Kosasih yang merupakan Ketua Pemuda Adat Kasepuhan Karang, Jaro Wahid sebagai Kepala Desa dan infroman pendukung Asrip sebagai masyarakat sekitar tempat wisata. Pengambilan data diawali dengan observasi dan dokumentasi di tempat wisata Pesona Maranti dan Curug Karimuay dan dilanjutkan dengan mewawancarai informan untuk mendalami lebih jauh mengenai penerapan pariwisata berbasis masyarakat di Kasepuhan Karang beserta dampak dan perencanaan kedepannya. Diketahui bahwa penerapan pariwisata berbasis masyarakat di Kasepuhan Karang masih dalam tahap pengembangan dan penguatan sektor pendukung lainnya serta dalam pengembangan pariwisatanya harus mendahulukan kepentingan alam. Dampak yang dirasakan oleh masyarakat dari segi ekonomi memang belum terlalu signifikan dari sektor pariwisata karena pengembangannya masih belum terlalu komersil. ********** This study aims to determine the application of community-based tourism carried out by the people of Kasepuhan Karang in Pesona Maranti and Curug Karimuay along with the impact felt by the community. The research was conducted separately on 27 December-28 December and 17 January - 19 January 2021. This research method uses descriptive analysis method with interactive data analysis techniques. The sample in this study used purposive sampling and snowballing sampling techniques. Purposive sampling technique is used to determine the important informants (Key Informants) who are considered to know best. The key informants in this study were Engkos Kosasih who was the head of the Kasepuhan Karang youth, Jaro Wahid as the village head, and information supporters of Asrip as the community around the tourist attractions. Data collection began with observation and documentation at the Pesona Maranti tourist spot and Curug Karimuay and continued with interviewing informants to explore more about the implementation of community-based tourism in Kasepuhan Karang and its impact and future planning. It is known that the implementation of community-based tourism in Kasepuhan Karang is still in the stage of developing and strengthening other supporting sectors and in developing its tourism, nature must prioritize. The impact felt by the community from an economic point of view is not too significant from the tourism sector because its development is still not very commercial.
