Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang penerapan model Learning Cycle 5E terhadap berpikir kritis dalam muatan IPA siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan atau literatur study untuk memperoleh data sesuai topik permasalahan dalam penelitian. Sumber data yang diambil adalah jurnal dan skripsi terdahulu yang relevan serta buku dan sumber data lainnya. Berdasarkan hasil kajian serta analisis pada sumber data, model Learning Cycle 5E dapat digunakan dan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis muatan IPA dan proses pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E menggunakan langkah-langkah pembelajaran meliputi pembangkitan minat, eksplorasi, penjelasan, perluasan, dan evaluasi. This reseach is supposed to figure out the implementation of Learning Cycle 5E model toward the critical thinking way of student in science subject of elementary school. This reseach was reseach descriptive qualitative which using data according to the topic of the problem in reseach. Sources of data taken are relevant journals and previous theses as well as books and other data sources. Based on the results of studies and analysis on data sources, the 5E Learning Cycle model can and has a significant effect on the critical ability of science content and the 5E Learning Cycle learning process using learning steps including generating interest, exploration, explanation, expansion, and evaluation.
