Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan tingkat optimisme yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa Fakultas Pendidikan Psikologi, Universitas Negeri Jakarta yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi di masa pandemik Covid-19. Tipe daripada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-R) yang diciptakan oleh Carver dan Scheier. Butir soal dalam LOT-R berjumlah 10 buah. Data yang diambil dalam penelitian ini berasal dari 100 responden. Adapun reliabilitas alat ukur yang dihitung menggunakan software SPSS versi 22 dengan rumus Cronbach’s Alpha adalah sebesar 0,697. Setelah melakukan perhitungan statistik deskriptif yang menghasilkan mean sebesar 18,37. Maka hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa mahasiswa Fakultas Pendidikan Psikologi, Universitas Negeri Jakarta yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi memiliki tingkat optimisme yang tinggi. This study aims to describe the level of optimism held by student of Psychology Education Faculty of Jakarta State University who are working on their undergraduate thesis during the Covid-19 pandemic. The type of this research is quantitative descriptive. The measuring instrument used is Life Orientation Test-Revised which was created by Carver and Scheier. There are 10 questions in LOT-R. The data taken in this research came from 100 renspondents. The reliability of the measuring instrument calculated using SPSS software 22 version with Cronbach’s Alpha formula is 0,697. After performing descriptive statistical calculating, the mean is 18,37. So, the result of this study indicated that student college of Psychology Education Faculty of Jakarta State University who are working on their undergraduate thesis have a high level of optimism.
