Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between resilience and social support with the academic stress of new students in Jakarta during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses the correlation method. The research sample amounted to 470 new students at the State University of Jakarta who were selected using the incidental technique. Data was collected using the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) questionnaire, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MPSS), and Student Stress Inventory (SSI). Data were analyzed using multiple correlation test. The results showed that there was a negative and significant relationship between resilience and social support with academic stress on new students at UNJ with a correlation coefficient (R) of -0.309 and a Sig. F Change of 0.000 < 0.05 which means correlated. That is, resilience and social support are proven as factors that influence academic stress. The results of the study can provide information about psychological conditions related to resilience, social support, and academic stress on new students and serve as a reference material for providing psychological services for new UNJ students.
