Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi program budaya 5S (Senyum, Sapa, Salam, Sopan dan Santun) yang dapat memperkuat karakter sosial siswa di SMP Islam Al Azhar 12 Rawamangun. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Responden terdiri dari 40 siswa kelas VIII SMP Islam Al Azhar 12 Rawamangun. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, angket dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Implementasi program budaya 5S di SMP Islam Al Azhar 12 Rawamangun sudah berjalan dengan cukup baik. Implementasi budaya 5S (Senyum, Sapa, Salam, Sopan dan Santun) dimulai dengan pembiasaan. Proses pembiasaan inilah yang kita kenal dengan budaya atau pembudayan. Pembiasaan tersebut dimulai oleh semua guru di sekolah tersebut. Peran guru tidak hanya memberikan arahan atau nasihat tetapi juga harus memberikan contoh atau teladan yang baik dan siswa mampu meniru apa yang telah dicontohkan oleh gurunya sehingga pembiasaan tersebut menjadi budaya. Budaya tersebut sebagai berikut: a) Senyum, b) Sapa, c) Salam, d) Sopan dan e) Santun. Program budaya 5S dapat memperkuat karakter sosial siswa di SMP Islam Al Azhar 12 Rawamangun. Implementasi karakter sosial melalui budaya 5S telah memperkuat karakter sosial siswa seperti mampu bekerjasama dengan orang lain, toleransi dalam setiap pandangan maupun pendapat orang lain serta keberagaman kultur, saling menghormati dengan mengucap maupun menjawab salam dan saling menghargai dengan berperilaku sopan santun, memiliki kepedulian terhadap orang lain serta senantiasa memiliki rasa solidaritas dimulai dengan saling menyapa. Kata kunci: Karakter sosial, Program Budaya 5S, Siswa. This study aims to determine the implementation of the 5S cultural program (Smile, Greet, Greeting, Polite, and Courteous) which can strengthen the social character of students at Al Azhar Islamic Junior High School 12 Rawamangun. This research is descriptive research. Respondents consisted of 40 students of class VIII SMP Islam Al Azhar 12 Rawamangun. Data was collected using observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and a literature study. The results showed that the implementation of the 5S cultural program at Al Azhar Islamic Junior High School 12 Rawamangun was running quite well. The implementation of 5S culture (Smile, Greet, Greeting, Polite, and Polite) begins with habituation. This habituation process is what we know as culture or acculturation. The habituation was started by all the teachers in the school. The role of the teacher is not only to provide direction or advice but also to provide a good example or role model and students are able to imitate what the teacher has exemplified so that habituation becomes a culture. The culture is as follows: a) Smile, b) Greet, c) Greetings, d) Polite and e) Polite. The 5S cultural program can strengthen the social character of students at SMP Islam Al Azhar 12 Rawamangun. The implementation of social character through 5S culture has strengthened the social character of students such as being able to cooperate with others, tolerance in each other's views and opinions as well as cultural diversity, respecting each other by saying and answering greetings and respecting each other by behaving politely, having concern for others. and always have a sense of solidarity start Keywords: Social Character, 5S Cultural Program, Students.
