Abstract
Pembelajaran Biologi merupakan proses interaksi dua arah antara guru dan peserta didik untuk menyampaikan materi belajar mengenai makhluk hidup untuk mencapai tujuan belajar. Kelemahan serta kesulitan dalam menangkap dan memahami materi belajar Biologi disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yang salah satunya adalah ada tidaknya atau jenis media pembelajaran yang tersedia di sekolah. Sebanyak 58,3% peserta didik menyatakan bahwa media pembelajaran sangat penting penggunaannya dalam pembelajaran Biologi dan sebanyak 51,9% mengungkapkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran dalam pembelajaran Biologi efektif membantu peserta didik memahami materi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran Biologi berbentuk komik elektronik berbasis literasi Biologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Research and Development dengan model pengembangan Borg and Gall (2003). Validasi dilakukan oleh 2 ahli media, 2 ahli materi, dan 2 ahli bahasa. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah media pembelajaran dikategorikan sangat baik sehingga layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Learning Biology is a process of two-way interaction between teacher and students with the main goal of delivering study materials about living beings in order to reach the purpose of studying. Students’ weakness and difficulty in catching on and understanding Biology study materials is caused by several factors, one of them is whether or not instructional media is used or the right instructional media used in schools. 58,3% of the students stated that using instructional media during learning Biology is important and 51,9% admitted that using instructional media effectively helping them in understanding study materials. The aim of this study is to develop an instructional media for learning Biology in a form of Biology-literate electronic comic. The type of study used is Research and Development with developing model based on Borg and Gall (2003). The product is validated by experts, 2 persons in each aspect which are media aspects, language aspects, and materials aspects. Based on the validation, the instructional media is categorized as well-done and could be use in learning process.
