Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis para siswa menggunakan model Learning Cycle 7E serta Problem Based Learning. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini apakah terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik antara model Learning Cycle 7E dan Problem Based Learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen serta desain penelitian memakai Posttest Only Control Group Design. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang dipergunakan ialah teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Sampel terdiri dari kelas eksperimen sebanyak 35 siswa menggunakan model Learning Cycle 7E serta kelas kontrol sebanyak 35 siswa menggunakan Problem Based Learning. Instrumen yang digunakan di penelitian ini merupakan tes, kuesioner, serta dokumentasi. Teknik pengujian yang digunakan di penelitian ini yaitu uji persyaratan analisis data (uji normalitas, uji homogenitas), serta uji hipotesis (uji Independent Sample T-Test). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan model Learning Cycle 7E dan Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa jurusan akuntansi di SMK Persada Husada Indonesia Kota Bekasi. Terdapat perbedaan signifikansi antara model Learning Cycle 7E dan model Problem Based Learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di SMK Persada Husada Indonesia Kota Bekasi. Terdapat hasil yang lebih baik diperoleh model Learning Cycle 7E dibandingkan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning dibuktikan dengan nilai rata-rata siswa pada hasil posttest Learning Cycle 7E lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan Problem Based Learning. Dan hasil penelitian, untuk aspek menganalisis dan menyimpulkan kedua model pembelajaran tersebut tepat digunakan karena responden di kelas eksperimen serta kontrol tidak ditemukan kesalahan di waktu posttest. Kata Kunci: Model Learning Cycle 7E, Problem Based Learning, Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis This study aims to determine the differences in students' critical thinking skills using the 7E Learning Cycle model and Problem Based Learning. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether there are differences in students' critical thinking skills between the 7E Learning Cycle and Problem Based Learning models. This study uses a quantitative approach with the research method used is the experimental method and the research design using Posttest Only Control Group Design. The sampling technique used is the Cluster Random Sampling technique. The sample consisted of an experimental class of 35 students using the 7E Learning Cycle model and a control class of 35 students using Problem Based Learning. The instruments used in this study were tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The testing technique used in this study is the test of data analysis requirements (normality test, homogeneity test), and hypothesis testing (Independent Sample T-Test). The results of this study indicate that the 7E Learning Cycle and Problem Based Learning models can improve critical thinking skills of students majoring in accounting at SMK Persada Husada Indonesia, Bekasi City. There is a significant difference between the 7E Learning Cycle model and the Problem Based Learning model in improving students' critical thinking skills at SMK Persada Husada Indonesia Bekasi City. There are better results obtained by the Learning Cycle 7E model compared to using the Problem Based Learning model, as evidenced by the student's average score on the Learning Cycle 7E posttest results being higher than Problem Based Learning. And the results of the study, for aspects of analyzing and concluding the two learning models were appropriate to use because respondents in the experimental and control classes did not find errors at the time of the posttest.
