Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui alasan dan penyebab kebertahanan Miss Tjitjih di tengah perkembangan era digital. Serta bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi adaptasi yang dilakukan untuk mempertahankan eksistensinya hingga saat ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, dokumentasi, studi kepustakaan dan wawancara dengan subjek penelitian berjumlah tujuh orang yang terdiri dari satu orang ketua Teater Miss Tjitjih, satu orang sutradara Teater Miss Tjitjih, satu orang bendahara kelompok Miss Tjitjih, satu orang pengawas Teater Miss Tjitjih, satu orang bagian divisi humas dan sosial media Teater Miss Tjitjih dan satu orang penonton Teater Miss Tjitjih. Lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan di Cempaka Baru, Kemayoran, Jakarta Pusat, pada bulan Juli hingga Desember 2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan salah satu kerangka konsep yang dikemukakan oleh Talcott Parsons yaitu Adaptasi (Adaptataion). Berdasarkan hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Teater Miss Tjitjih merupakan satu-satunya kelompok sandiwara Sunda di Jakarta yang telah ada sejak tahun 1928. Kelompok ini masih mampu bertahan melalui berbagai dinamika dan permasalahan yang terjadi, khususnya di era digital seperti saat ini. Dalam keberlangsungan dan kebertahanannya, kelompok ini didasari oleh berbagai alasan dan penyebab diantaranya karena sejarah kelompok yang sangat panjang, bentuk penghormatan terhadap cita-cita dan kerja keras pendahulu kelompok, keinginan melestarikan satu-satunya sandiwara Sunda di Jakarta, serta kuatnya rasa kekeluargaan diantara para pemain. Berbagai strategi adaptasi dilakukan kelompok ini untuk bertahan diantaranya dengan melakukan transformasi digital dan membuat beberapa perubahan dan penyesuaian, menetapkan tujuan-tujuan yang ingin dicapai, membentuk struktur kepengurusan dengan tugas yang terstruktur dan jelas, serta membangun dan meningkatkan motivasi para pelaku kesenian Miss Tjitjih. This study aims to determine the reasons and causes of Miss Tjitjih's survival in the midst of the development of the digital era. It also aims to describe the adaptation strategies that have been carried out to maintain its existence to date. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research data were obtained through observation, documentation, literature study and interviews with seven research subjects consisting of Miss Tjitjih group leader, Miss Tjitjih group director, Miss Tjitjih group treasurer, Miss Tjitjih group supervisor, Miss Tjitjih from the public relations and social media division and one audience member of the Miss Tjitjih skit. The location of this research is in Cempaka Baru, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, from July to December 2021. This study uses one of the frameworks of the concept proposed by Talcott Parsons, namely Adaptation. Based on the findings in this study, it shows that the Miss Tjitjih Theater is the only Sundanese theater group in Jakarta that has existed since 1928. This group is still able to survive through various dynamics and problems that occur, especially in the digital era as it is today. In its sustainability and survival, this group is based on various reasons and causes including the group's very long history, a form of respect for the ideals and hard work of the group's predecessors, the desire to preserve the only Sundanese play in Jakarta, and the strong sense of kinship among the players. Various adaptation strategies were carried out by this group to survive, including by carrying out digital transformation and making several changes and adjustments, setting goals to be achieved, forming a management structure with structured and clear tasks, as well as building and increasing the motivation of Miss Tjitjih Theater.
