Abstract

Permasalahan lingkungan dapat menjadi ancaman bagi lingkungan seperti berkurangnya keanekaragaman hayati. Kurang tertanamnya perilaku bijak dan pengalaman hidup tentang lingkungan yang seharusnya didapatkan oleh peserta didik di lingkungan sekolah menjadi penyebab utamanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran locus of control sebagai mediator antara environmental sensitivity terhadap citizenship behavior peserta didik. Digunakan metode survei melalui studi kausal dan dianalisis dengan analisis jalur. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAN 6 Jakarta pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2021/2022 dengan 73 peserta didik sebagai sampel yang dipilih menggunakan teknik multi stage random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa environmental sensitivity tidak berpengaruh langsung terhadap locus of control peserta didik, locus of control berpengaruh langsung terhadap citizenship behavior peserta didik secara signifikan, environmental sensitivity berpengaruh langsung terhadap citizenship behavior peserta didik secara signifikan, dan environmental sensitivity tidak berpengaruh tidak langsung terhadap citizenship behavior melalui locus of control peserta didik secara tidak signifikan sehingga locus of control tidak bisa dijadikan variabel mediator antara environmental sensitivity dan citizenship behavior peserta didik. Kata Kunci: Analisis jalur, environmental sensitivity, locus of control, citizenship behavior, peserta didik Environmental problems can be a threat to the environment such as reduced biodiversity. The lack of embedded wise behavior and life experiences about the environment that should be obtained by students in the school environment is the main cause. This study aims to determine the role of locus of control as a mediator between environmental sensitivity to student citizenship behavior. Survey method is used through causal study and analyzed by path analysis. The study was conducted at SMAN 6 Jakarta in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year with 73 students as the sample selected using a multi-stage random sampling technique. The results show that environmental sensitivity does not directly affect the locus of control of students, locus of control has a direct effect on the citizenship behavior of students significantly, environmental sensitivity has a direct effect on the citizenship behavior of students significantly, and environmental sensitivity has no indirect effect on citizenship behavior through the locus of control of students is not significant so that it cannot be used as a mediator variable between environmental sensitivity and citizenship behavior of students.
