Abstract

Penanganan krisis iklim telah menjadi masalah yang paling serius dan mendesak di abad ke-21. Banyak bukti menunjukkan bahwa perilaku manusia turut ikut andil dalam munculnya atau bahkan memperparah permasalahan lingkungan yang terjadi saat ini. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan lingkungan adalah dengan berperilaku pro terhadap lingkungan (pro-environmental behavior). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh personal responsibility dan big 5-personality terhadap pro-environmental behavior peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei melalui studi kausal dengan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis jalur. Survei dilakukan terhadap 79 siswa di SMAN 50 Jakarta pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Hasil perhitungan koefisien reliabilitas instrumen pro-environmental behavior sebesar 0.871, personal responsibility sebesar 0.886, dan big 5-personality sebesar 0,927 yang dapat diartikan bahwa ketiga instrumen tersebut dapat dipercaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa personal responsibility berpengaruh langsung terhadap pro-environmental behavior secara signifikan, personal responsibility berpengaruh langsung terhadap big 5-personality secara signifikan, big 5-personality berpengaruh langsung terhadap pro-environmental behavior secara signifikan. Selanjutnya didapatkan hasil big 5-personality baik sebagai variabel mediator antara personal responsibility dan pro-environmental behavior pada peserta didik. Oleh sebab itu, untuk meningkat pro-environmental behavior peserta didik, faktor personal responsibility dan big 5-personality perlu dipertimbangkan. Addressing the climate crisis has become the most serious and urgent problem of the 21st century. A lot of evidence shows that human behavior contributed to the emergence or even exacerbated environmental problems that occur today. One way that can be done to overcome environmental problems is to behave pro-environmental. This study aims to determine the effect of personal responsibility and big 5-personality toward pro-environmental behavior of students. The method used is a survey method through causal studies with data analysis techniques using path analysis. The survey was conducted on 79 students at SMAN 50 Jakarta in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The calculation result of the reliability coefficient of the pro-environmental behavior instrument are 0.871, personal responsibility is 0.886, and the big 5-personality is 0.927, which means that the three instruments can be trusted. The results showed that personal responsibility directly affected pro-environmental behavior significantly, personal responsibility directly affected big 5-personality significantly, and the big 5-personality directly affected pro-environmental behavior significantly. Furthermore, the big 5-personality results were obtained as a mediator variable between personal responsibility and pro-environmental behavior in students. Therefore, to increase students' pro-environmental behavior, personal responsibility and big 5-personality factors need to be considered.
