Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang faktor apa saja yang menyebabkan munculnya stigma terhadap Orang Dengan Skizofrenia (ODS) dan bagaimana peran Komunitas Peduli Skizofrenia Indoensia Jakarta (KPSI Jakarta) dalam mengatasi stigma masyarakat terhadap Orang Dengan Skziofrenia (ODS). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Pengurus Inti KPSI Jakarta, anggota KPSI Jakarta yang terdiri dari caregiver dan ODS yang telah pulih, serta satu orang profesional kesehatan Jiwa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa : 1. Faktor penyebab munculnya stigma terhadap ODS adalah karena sifat penyakit ODS itu sendiri dan kurangnya pengetahuan mengenai gangguan jiwa di masyarakat. 2. Peran KPSI Jakarta dalam mengatasi stigma masyarakat terhadap Orang Dengan Skizofrenia (ODS) yaitu dengan melakukan upaya promotif (promosi kesehatan) untuk menyebarkan informasi kepada masyarakat seputar gangguan skizofrenia dan melakukan upaya rehabilitatif (rehabilitasi) untuk mengembalikan keberfungsian sosial ODS di masyarakat. This study aims to describe what factors caused the emergence of stigma against People with Schizophrenia (ODS) and how the role of the Schizophrenia Care Community Jakarta (KPSI Jakarta) in overcoming societal stigma against People with Schizophrenia (ODS). The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, documentation, and literature study. The subjects in this study were the Core Management of KPSI Jakarta, members of KPSI Jakarta which consisted of caregivers and ODS who had recovered, and one mental health professional. The results of this study indicate that: 1. The factors that cause the emergence of stigma against ODS are due to the nature of the ODS disease itself and the lack of knowledge about mental disorders in the community. 2. The role of KPSI Jakarta in overcoming public stigma against People with Schizophrenia (ODS), namely by carrying out promotive efforts (health promotion) to disseminate information to the public about schizophrenia disorders and carrying out rehabilitative efforts (rehabilitation) to restore the social functioning of ODS in the community.
