Abstract

Budi pekerti berhubungan dengan moral kelakuan yang baik, penting diajarkan kepada anak-anak. Menurut Joko Sulianto (2014), secara umum anak-anak sangat suka cerita (Jurnal Mimbar Sekolah Dasar, Volume 1 Nomor 2 Oktober 2014:113-122). Maka perupa buat buku cerita bergambar untuk mengajarkan budi pekerti karena melalui membaca anak usia 7-9 tahun mampu merekam dan meniru apa yang mereka lihat. Buku cerita bergambar ini diharapkan bantu orang tua, guru, ataupun anak agar memiliki sifat budi pekerti baik. Metode penelitian penciptaan buku ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk meneliti pentingnya pendidikan budi pekerti untuk anak usia 7-9. Sebagai uji kelayakan karya, perupa melakukan uji coba kepada para responden dengan metode survei via google form dan instagram poll. Pembuatan produk buku ini menggunakan teknik ilustrasi desain digital dicetak menjadi sebuah buku full colour print ukuran A5. Selain buku ini juga dapat dijangkau di gadget: bit.ly/belajarberbuatbaik. Ilustrasi ceritanya memiliki lima amanah yaitu memiliki rasa empati, rendah hati, cerdas dalam berpikir dan bertindak, memiliki sikap saling menghormati, dan sikap mandiri. Secara visual keseluruhan menggunakan figur anak usia Sekolah Dasar. Namun beberapa menggunakan figur usia Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Dilakukan agar terdapat variasi jenjang usia di atas target pembaca, menceritakan tentang kisah kakak kelas usia Sekolah Menengah Pertama yaitu 13 sampai 15 tahun. Good character is related to good moral behavior, it is important to teach children. According to Joko Sulianto (2014), in general, children really like stories (Mimbar Sekolah Dasar Journal, Volume 1 Number 2 October 2014:113-122). So artists make picture books to teach manners because through reading children aged 7-9 years are able to record and imitate what they see. It is hoped that this Picture Book can help parents, teachers, or children to have good character traits. The research method for making this book uses a qualitative approach to examine the importance of character education for children aged 7-9. As a trial run, the artist conducted a trial with the respondents using a survey method via Google Forms and an Instagram poll. The production of this book product uses digital design illustration techniques into a full-color printed book of A5 size. In addition to this book, it can also be reached on gadgets: bit.ly/belajarberbuatbaik. The illustration of the story has five mandates, namely having empathy, being humble, intelligent in thinking and acting, having mutual respect, and being independent. Visually, the total uses the figures of elementary school age children. However, some use junior high school age figures. This is done so that there is a variation in age above the target audience, telling the story of junior high school seniors, namely 13 to 15 years.
