Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kecemasan karier mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas Negeri Jakarta di masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 402 mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Pengambilan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik convenience sampling atau accidental sampling. Alat pengumpul data berupa angket career anxiety scale yang diadaptasi dari Tsai (2017). Pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas menunjukkan butir pernyataan sudah baik dan kategori kuat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gambaran kecemasan karier mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas Negeri Jakarta memperoleh skor 68.4 dari total skor maksimum 100. Aspek dengan skor rata-rata yang mendominasi yaitu aspek personal ability dengan skor 25.2, sedangkan aspek dengan skor rata-rata yang kurang mendominasi yaitu aspek professional education training dengan skor 10. Berdasarkan jenis kelamin, diketahui mahasiswa laki-laki memperoleh skor rata-rata sedikit lebih tinggi dibandingkan mahasiswa perempuan. Berdasarkan usia, tidak ada perbedaan skor rata-rata yang signifikan. Berdasarkan sistem praktik lapangan, diketahui bahwa mahasiswa yang mengalami sistem online memperoleh skor rata-rata yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan mahasiswa yang mengalami sistem offline & hybrid. Sedangkan, berdasarkan jenis program studi tidak ada perbedaan antara jenis program studi Pendidikan maupun Non Pendidikan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa selama masa pandemi COVID-19 mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas Negeri Jakarta mengalami kecemasan karier. This research aims to describe the career anxiety of final year students during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. Total of 402 final year students have been participated in this research. Sampling of the study used convenience sampling or accidental sampling. The data was measured by Career Anxiety Scale and was adapted from Tsai (2017). The result of validity and reliability tests shows that the statement items are good and in a strong category. The results of this study showed that career anxiety of final year students has average score of 68.4 out of 100. The aspect with an average score that dominates is the aspect of personal ability with a score of 25.2, while the aspect with an average score that does not dominate is the aspect of professional education training with a score of 10. Based on gender, it is known that male students are slightly higher average score than female students. Based on age, there is no significant difference in the mean score. Based on the field practice system, it is known that students who experience the online system get a higher average score than students who experience the offline & hybrid system. Meanwhile, based on the type of study program there is no difference between the types of Educational and Non-Educational study programs. As a result It can be concluded that during the COVID-19 pandemic, final year students at the Jakarta State University experienced career anxiety.
