Abstract
Keberhasilan dari kegiatan belajar dan proses pembelajaran terlihat dari hasil belajar peserta didik. Hasil Belajar IPA peserta didik beragam, hal ini disebabkan berbagai macam faktor salah satunya adalah self-discipline. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan self-discipline dengan hasil belajar IPA peserta didik. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas IX SMPN 216 Jakarta pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif studi korelasional. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 152 peserta didik kelas IX. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner self-discipline dan tes hasil belajar IPA kelas IX semester genap. Uji normalitas data menggunakan uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov dan uji homogenitas menggunakan uji Bartlett yang setelah diuji, diperoleh data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana dan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah model regresi Ŷ = 24,976 + 0,504 X, koefisien korelasi yang diperoleh 0,421 dan koefisien determinasi korelasi sebesar 0,177. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hubungan positif dan tingkat hubungan cukup tinggi antara self-discipline dengan hasil belajar IPA peserta didik. The purpose of this research was to determine the correlation of self-discipline and student’s science learning outcome. The research was conducted at SMPN 216 Jakarta in the 2nd semester of 2016/2017 academic year. This research used descriptive quantitative method of correlational study. The sample were 152 9 th grade students. The data collection techniques by self-discipline questionnaires and 9 th grade science learning outcome test this semester. The normality test of data by Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and homogeneity by Bartlett test, which after tested obtained normal and homogenous distribution of data. Hypothesis test by simple linear regression test and Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results were Ŷ = 24.976 + 0.504 X of regression model, 0.421 of coefficient correlation and 0.177 of coefficient determination correlation. The results show positive and high enough correlation between self-discipline and student’s science learning outcome.
