Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui cara penerapan metode Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPA tentang Usaha Pelestarian Lingkungan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN 001 Sesayap Hilir Tana Tidung, dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 30 orang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan dengan menggunakan model Kemmis dan McTaggart, dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, implementasi tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi tindakan. Proses pengumpulan data melalui tes hasil belajar secara tertulis (tes tulis dan tes unjuk kerja), khususnya tentang usaha pelestarian lingkungan, dan nontes berupa hasil observasi pelaksanaan metode Contextual Teaching and Learning dengan menggunakan lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru dan siswa, catatan lapangan, dan hasil dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA, khususnya tentang usaha pelestarian lingkungan, dengan menerapkan metode Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai tes hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I yaitu 70% siswa yang tuntas, meningkat pada siklus II mencapai 100% siswa yang tuntas. Aktivitas guru dan siswa sesuai langkah-langkah metode ini mencapai 100% (mastery learning) pada akhir siklus II. ***** The purpose of this research is to determine the implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning method, to increase the students’ study result of IPA, aspecially about preservation. The research is conducted at SDN 001 Sesayap Hilir Tana Tidung, with the subject of this research was the students’ of 5th grade consisted of 30 students. This research is an action research used Kemmis and Mc Taggart model in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The data was collected through test of study result using written test (written and performance test), particularly about conservation, and non-tes was the observation result of the implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning method using observation sheet of teachers and students activities, transcript of activities, and documentation. The result showes the increase of students’ study result of science, especially about conservation, trough the implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning method. It was proved with the increase of students study result from 70% complete students in the first cycle to 100% complete students in the second cycle. The teachers and students activities through Contextual Teaching and Learning method achieved 100% (mastery learning) at the end of the second cycle.
