Abstract
The objective research is to obtain information concerning to the relationship of personality type and confidence with speaking ability. The research was conducted by using survey method with correlational analysis in testing hypothesis. In this research, 100 from 145 student’s simple random sampling. The research was focused on tree aspect; personality type and confidence with speaking ability. The data were collected with questionnaire for personality type and confidence and analyzed and observation for speaking ability with correlational analysis. Result on the analysis it is concluded that (1) There is a positive relationship between personality type (X1) and the child's speaking ability (Y) which is indicated by the correlation coefficient of 0,464, (2) There is a positive relationship between the confidence to children's speaking ability. This is attested by the value of the correlation coefficient (ry2) = 0.586, (3) There is a positive relationship between personality type and confidence together with the child's speaking ability. This is the show with the correlation coefficient (ry 1.2) = 0.681.
