Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi guru pamong terhadap Kompetensi Mengajar Mahasiswa PPL Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris dan persepsi kepala sekolah terhadap Kompetensi Mengajar Lulusan PS- PBI UNJ di sekolah dasar di Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei. Penulis mengumpulkan data melaui angket dan wawancara, dan penelitian ini diadakan di 24 sekolah dasar di Jakarta. Butir- butir pernyataan dalam angket dibuat berdasarkan Peraturan Pemerintah no. 16 tahun 2007. Populasi penelitian ini adalah guru pamong dari Mahasiswa PPL and kepala sekolah dari Lulusan PS�PBI UNJ, sementara sampelnya adalah 8 guru pamong dan 20 kepala sekolah. Penelitian ini diadakan antara bulan Agustus 2009 dan Febuari 2010. Hasilnya mengungkapkan bahwa berdasar persepsi guru pamong, mahasiswa PPL memiliki kompetensi pedagogic, professional, personal dan sosial yang baik, meskipun, respondent menyatakan bahwa mahasiswa PPL mengalami kesulitan dalam menguasai kelas besar. Kemudian, berdasar persepsi kepala sekolah, Lulusan PS�PBI UNJ memiliki kompetensi pedagogic, professional, personal dan sosial yang baik. Penelitian ini memberikan masukan kepada Program Studi Pendidkan Bahasa Inggris- UNJ untuk menyusun kurikulum dan silabus PSPBI- UNJ. ***** This study investigates the perception of guru pamong about teaching competences of PPL students of English Education Study Program and the principal’s perception toward the teaching competences of ELESP- UNJ graduates in teaching elementary schools in Jakarta. The research method is survey. The writer collected the data though questionnaire and interview and the study were held in 24 elementary schools in Jakarta. The questionnaire statements were adapted from Peraturan Pemerintah no. 16 tahun 2007. The populations are guru pamong of PPL students and the principals of ELESP- UNJ graduates, while the samples are 8 guru pamong and 20 Principals. The study was conducted between August 2009 and February 2010. The result reveals that based on the guru pamong’s perception, PPL students have good pedagogical, professional, personal and social competence, even though, respondents states that PPL students encounter difficulties in handling a big class. Then, based on the principals’ perception, ELESP- UNJ graduates have good pedagogical, professional, personal and social competence. The study will give input for ELESP- UNJ to improve the curriculum and syllabus of ELESP- UNJ.
