Abstract

Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mengetahui beasiswa difabel membatik dalam pemberdayaan kemandirian penyandang disabilitas sudah termasuk ke dalam economic civic dan proses pelaksanaan beasiswa difabel membatik dalam economic civic sebagai pemberdayaan kemandirian penyandang disabilitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini melibatkan sebanyak 9 orang sebagai informan yaitu penyandang disabilitas tunadaksa, penyandang disabilitas tunarungu, pejuang kanker, pengajar membatik, serta juru bahasa isyarat dan 2 orang sebagai key informan yaitu pendiri Rumah Batik Palbatu dan penggagas beasiswa difabel membatik. Penelitian ini juga dilengkapi dengan 1 orang expert. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Rumah Batik Palbatu merupakan salah satu wujud Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di masyarakat (community civics) yang memiliki program beasiswa difabel membatik untuk mengedukasi penyandang disabilitas mengenai economic civic melalui keterampilan membatik sebagai meningkatkan perekonomian dan peluang usaha. Proses pelaksanaan economic civic melalui beasiswa difabel membatik di Rumah Batik Palbatu dimulai dari tahap persiapan, sosialisasi, assessment, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan terminasi. Beasiswa difabel membatik mengajarkan kepada penyandang disabilitas untuk memiliki karakter bertanggung jawab, komitmen, etos kerja, saling membantu, kemandirian, kepemimpinan, dan nasionalisme. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa beasiswa difabel membatik di Rumah Batik Palbatu merupakan bagian dari economic civic dalam pemberdayaan kemandirian penyandang disabilitas. Beasiswa difabel membatik dapat membuat penyandang disabilitas menjadi sumber daya manusia yang unggul dan mandiri. Kata Kunci: Economic Civic, Pemberdayaan Kemandirian, Penyandang Disabilitas, Beasiswa Difabel Membatik. ***** This study aims to find out that batik disabled scholarships in empowering the independence of people with disabilities are included in economic civic and the process of implementation batik disabled scholarships in economic civic as an independent empowerment of people with disabilities. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. This study involved 9 people as informants, that are physical disabilities, deaf peoples, cancer fighters, batik teachers, and sign language interpreters, and 2 people as key informants that are the founder of the Rumah Batik Palbatu and the initiator of the batik disabled scholarship. This research is also equipped with 1 expert. The results of this study indicate that the Rumah Batik Palbatu is a form of Citizenship Education in the community (community civics) which has a program batik disabled scholarship to educate people with disabilities about economic civic through batik skills to improve the economy and business opportunities. The process of implementation economic civic through batik disabled scholarship at Rumah Batik Palbatu starts from the preparation, socialization, assessment, implementation, evaluation, and termination stages. The batik disabled scholarship teaches people with disabilities to have a character responsibility, commitment, work ethic, help each other, independence, leadership, and nationalism. This study concludes that the batik disabled scholarship at Rumah Batik Palbatu is part of economic civic in empowering the independence of people with disabilities. Program Batik disabled scholarship can make people with disabilities become superior and independent human resources.
