Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah kecerdasan emosional dan efikasi diri mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa XI IPS di SMAN 41 Jakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode analisis regresi linear berganda. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei eksplanatori. Teknik penentuan sampel menggunakan Proportional Random Sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 84 siswa kelas XI IPS SMAN 41 Jakarta. Pengumpulan data kecerdasan emosional dan efikasi diri menggunakan kuesioner, sedangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis menggunakan soal tes penilaian objektif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, efikasi diri berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, kemudian kecerdasan emosional dan efikasi diri secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Temuan penelitian ini mengimplikasikan bahwa kecerdasan emosional dan efikasi diri siswa dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritisnya. Kata kunci: kecerdasan emosional, efikasi diri, kemampuan berpikir kritis. *** The purpose of this study was to determine whether emotional intelligence and self efficacy affect the critical thinking skills of XI IPS students at SMAN 41 Jakarta. This research is a quantitative research with multiple linear regression analysis method. This type of research is explanatory survey research. The technique of determining the sample using Proportional Random Sampling with a sample of 84 students of class XI IPS at SMAN 41 Jakarta. The data collection for emotional intelligence and self efficacy using a questionnaire, while the critical thinking skills using an objective assessment test. The results of this study indicate that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on students critical thinking skills, self efficacy has a positive and significant effect on students critical thinking skills, then emotional intelligence and self efficacy simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on students critical thinking skills. The implication of the results of this study is that students emotional intelligence and self efficacy can improve their critical thinking skills.
