Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui unsur mistisme Jawa pada kelompok kebudayaan Abangan dalam komik webtoon Sarimin karya Nagaterbang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Jakarta sejak bulan November 2019 hingga Juli 2022. Tujuan penelitian ini (1) mendeskripsikan struktur komik webtoon Sarimin karya Nagaterbang dengan kajian struktur Buhan Nurgiyantoro yang dibatasi pada tokoh, latar, alur tema dan moral, serta gambar dan bahasa, (2) mendeskripsikan unsur mistisme pada kelompok abangan dalam komik webtoon Sarimin karya Nagaterbang dengan kajian interpretatif simbolik Clifford Geertz yang dibatasi pada unsur mistisme kelompok abangan yaitu slametan, kepercayaan terhadap makhluk gaib, dan kepercayaan terhadap kekuatan gaib. Diketahui bahwa tokoh dalam komik webtoon Sarimin terdapat Sarimin, Dhika, Yulie, dan Kera. Latar dalam komik webtoon Sarimin dibentuk di tanah Jawa yang begitu lekat dengan unsur mistisme Jawa. Diketahui bahwa alur komik webtoon Sarimin memiliki alur maju mundur, di mana pada alur mundur tokoh Dhika sempat menjelaskan mengenai sejarah yang terjadi di lingkungan sekitarnya. Pada struktur komik terdapat unsur gambar dan bahasa yang berbeda dari karya sastra lainnya, struktur komik dibagi menjadi unsur gambar dan bahasa yaitu panel, parit, balon kata, efek gerak dan efek suara. Terdapat tiga unsur mistisme yang ditemukan pada komik webtoon Sarimin, yaitu Slametan, kepercayaan terhadap kekuatan gaib ditandai dari adanya sesajen dan tumbal yang digunakan pada proses mistis, dan kepercayaan terhadapa makhluk gaib yaitu tuyul dan lelembut. Melalui analisis tersebut kemudian ditemukan unsur mistisme kelompok kebudayaan abangan dalam komik webtoon Sarimin karya Nagaterbang ********** This study aims to determine the elements of Javanese mysticism in the Abangan cultural group in the Sarimin webtoon comic by Nagaterbang. This research was carried out in Jakarta from November 2019 to July 2022. The purpose of this study (1) was to describe the structure of the Sarimin webtoon comic by Nagaterbang with a study of the structure of Buhan Nurgiyantoro which was limited to characters, setting, plot themes and morals, as well as images and language, (2 ) describes elements of mysticism in the abangan group in the webtoon comic Sarimin by Nagaterbang with a symbolic interpretive study of Clifford Geertz which is limited to elements of mysticism in the abangan group, namely slametan, belief in supernatural beings, and belief in supernatural powers. It is known that the characters in the Sarimin webtoon comic are Sarimin, Dhika, Yulie, and Kera. The setting in the Sarimin webtoon comic is set in the land of Java, which is very closely related to elements of Javanese mysticism. It is known that the Sarimin webtoon comic plot has a back and forth plot, where in the backward plot the character Dhika briefly explains the history that has occurred in the surrounding environment. In the structure of comics there are elements of images and language that are different from other literary works, the structure of comics is divided into elements of images and language, namely panels, ditches, word balloons, motion effects and sound effects. There are three elements of mysticism found in the Sarimin webtoon comic, namely Slametan, belief in supernatural powers is indicated by the existence of offerings and sacrifices used in mystical processes, and belief in supernatural beings, namely tuyul and lelembut. Through this analysis, the mystical elements of the abangan cultural group were found in the Sarimin webtoon comic by Nagaterbang.
