Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk menerapkan metode pembelajaran mnemonic pada pembelajaran piano di Kawai Music School untuk anak-anak usia 6 (enam) tahun. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Proses pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, kuesioner, dan evaluasi dengan terlebih dahulu peneliti membuat desain pembelajaran untuk masing-masing siswa. Tempat Penelitian dilakukan di Kawai Music School Alam Sutera dan melalui platform zoom meeting. Waktu Penelitian dimulai dari bulan Februari sampai April 2022 dengan objek penelitian yaitu metode pembelajaran mnemonic. Subjek penelitian adalah anak-anak usia 6 (enam) tahun berjumlah 5 (lima) siswa. Pengumpulan Data dilakukan menggunakan observasi, wawancara, angket, dan sumber tertulis seperti buku dan jurnal. Analisis Data dilakukan dengan membuat catatan lapangan, membuat transkrip wawancara, membuang data yang tidak berhubungan dengan topik penelitian. Data disajikan dalam bentuk kata-kata. Triangulasi dilakukan dengan memeriksa kembali hasil analisis data yang didapat dari hasil observasi, wawancara dan studi pustaka. Hasil Penelitian, ini menunjukan bahwa metode pembelajaran mnemonic dalam meminimalisir kesulitan memahami notasi dapat diterapkan pada pembelajaran piano seperti yang sudah diaplikasikan oleh peneliti. Namun metode ini harus disesuaikan dengan kemampuan daya tangkap dan perkembangan setiap siswa. Pada tahap awal pembelajaran piano, peneliti akan mengajak siswa untuk bernyanyi bersama instruktur, menyanyikan lagu yang sedang disukai oleh siswa. Selanjutnya, instruktur menjelaskan metode mnemonic yaitu dengan penggunaan akronim yang disesuaikan pada kemampuan menghafalkan siswa, kemudian mencoba mengaplikasikannya pada piano. Metode ini bertahap dari kunci G terlebih dahulu kemudian dilanjutkan dengan kunci F, setelah itu dua kunci dengan disesuaikan pada materi piano yang diberikan. The Purpose of this study was to apply the mnemonic learning method to piano lessons at Kawai Music School for children aged 6 (six) years. The Research Method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection process used interview, observation, questionnaire, and evaluation techniques with the researcher first making a learning design for each student. Research Place was conducted at Kawai Music School Alam Sutera and through a zoom meeting platform. Research Time starts from February to April 2022 with the object of research, namely the mnemonic learning method. The research subjects were children aged 6 (six) years amount of 5 (five) students. Data was collected using observations, interviews, questionnaires, and written sources such as books and journals. Data Analysis was carried out by making field notes, making interview transcripts, discarding data that were not related to the research topic. Data is presented in the form of words. Triangulation was done by re-examining the results of data analysis obtained from observations, interviews and literature studies. The Results of this study indicate that the mnemonic learning method in minimizing difficulties in understanding notation can be applied in piano learning as has been applied by researchers. However, this method must be adapted to the ability to capture and develop each student. In the early stages of learning piano, the researcher will invite students to sing with the instructor, singing songs that are being liked by students. Next, the instructor explained the mnemonic method by using acronyms that were adapted to the students' memorization ability, then trying to apply them to the piano. This method is gradual from the key of G first then followed by the key of F, after that the two keys in accordance with the material.
