Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kelekatan orang tua dengan harga diri pada remaja di SMA Negeri 14 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini berjumlah 280 remaja yang bersekolah di SMA Negeri 14 Jakarta. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Simple Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment-Revised (IPPA-R) dan Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) yang diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia oleh peneliti. Hasil uji validitas menunjukan butir pernyataan sudah baik. Hasil uji reliabilitas menunjukan untuk variabel kelekatan orang tua, yaitu sebesar 0.938. Selanjutnya untuk variabel harga diri memiliki reliabilitas sebesar 0.860. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara kelekatan orang tua dengan harga diri pada remaja di SMA Negeri 14 Jakarta dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.562 ini berarti hubungan antara kedua variabel tersebut kuat. Dalam hal ini, semakin tinggi kelekatan remaja dengan orang tua maka semakin tinggi pula harga diri remaja. ***** This study aims to analyze the relationship between parental attachment and self-esteem in adolescents at SMA Negeri 14 Jakarta. This research uses correlation method with a quantitative approach. The subjects in this study amounted to 280 teenagers who attend SMA Negeri 14 Jakarta. The sampling technique used is Simple Random Sampling. Data was collected using the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment-Revised (IPPA-R) and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) questionnaires which were adapted into Indonesian by the researcher. The results of the validity test show that the statement items are good. The results of the reliability test showed that the attachment variable to parents was 0.938. Furthermore, the self-esteem variable has a reliability of 0.860. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between attachment to parents and self-esteem in adolescents at SMA Negeri 14 Jakarta with a correlation coefficient of 0.562. this means that the relationship between the two variables is strong. In this case, the higher the adolescent's attachment to parents, the higher the adolescent's self-esteem.
