Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara academic motivation dengan academic procrastination pada mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur variabel academic motivation adalah Academic Motivation Scale dan academic procrastination diukur menggunakan Academic Procrastination Scale. Pendekatan pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengolahan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan SPSS Statistic versi 25 dengan uji statistik korelasi pearson product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara academic motivation dengan academic procrastination pada mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Jakarta, di mana ketika mahasiswa memiliki motivasi akademik yang tinggi, maka hal tersebut akan dapat mengurangi perilaku menunda�nunda dalam penyelesaian tugas akademik, dan sebalik, semakin rendah motivasi mahasiswa maka tingkat prokrastinasi akademiknya akan semakin tinggi This study aims to see the relationship between academic motivation and academic procrastination in Jakarta State University college students. The instrument used to measure academic motivation variable is the Academic Motivation Scale and to measure academic procrastination use Academic Procrastination Scale. The approach in this study uses a quantitative approach with purposive sampling technique. Processing data in this study using SPSS Statistic 25 version with a statistical test of pearson product moment correlation. The results showed that there was a significant negative relationship between academic motivation and academic procrastination in Jakarta State University college students, when students have high academic motivation, it will reduce delays in completing academic assignments, and conversely, the lower the student motivation, the higher the level of academic procrastination.
