Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa komik elektronik (e-comic) pada muatan IPA materi sumber energi panas berbasis kontekstual bagi peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode research and development (R&D) dengan model Borg and Gall, pada tahap pengembangan produk mengacu pada model Luther-Sutopo. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan angket kepada peserta didik. Media komik elektronik yang dikembangkan ini diakses melalui url dan dapat diunduh maupun diakses secara daring saat pembelajaran berlangsung. Media ini dapat meningkatkan antusias, aktif, dan fokus dalam pembelajaran. Hasil validasi terhadap media diperoleh sebagai berikut; 1) validasi materi sebesar 95,71%, 2) validasi bahasa sebesar 96,36%, dan 3) validasi media sebesar 95,23% dengan kategori “sangat layak”. Efektivitas media pembelajaran menunjukkan rata-rata nilai post-test lebih besar daripada nilai pre-test (80,87 > 51,06) mendapatkan gain score 0,58 pada kategori sedang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media komik elektronik pada materi sumber energi panas di kelas IV sekolah dasar efektif digunakan sebagai media penunjang pembelajaran. The aim of this research is to develop learning media in the form of electronic comics (e-comics) on natural science content on contextual- based heat energy sources for fourth grade elementary school students. This research uses the research and development (R&D) method with the Borg and Gall model, at the product development stage it refers to the Luther-Sutopo model. Data collection techniques carried out using observation, interviews, and questionnaires to students. The developed electronic comic media is accessed via a URL and can be downloaded or accessed online during learning. This media can increase enthusiasm, be active, and focus in learning. The results of the validation of the media are obtained as follows; 1) material validation of 95.71%, 2) language validation of 96.36%, and 3) media validation of 95.23% with the "very decent" category. The effectiveness of learning media shows that the average post- test score is greater than the pre-test score (80.87 > 51.06) to get a gain score of 0.58 in the medium category. It can be concluded that electronic comic media on heat energy source materials in grade IV elementary schools is effectively used as a learning support media.
