Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui framing pemberitaan penghapusan mural yang dilakukan oleh media Liputan6.com dan Kumparan.com. Metode yang dilakukan di dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa dokumentasi. Teori yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah framing model Zhongdang Pan dan Gerald M. Kosicki yang terdiri dari empat struktur, sintaksis, skrip, tematik, dan retoris. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di dalam menyusun fakta, Liputan6.com mengambil dari wawancara narasumber yang berasal dari berbagai pihak seperti pihak pemerintah, partai oposisi, politikus, dan aparat kepolisian. Adapun Kumparan.com menyusun fakta hanya dari pihak pemerintah dan kepolisian. Dari struktur skrip, kedua media telah melengkapi semua unsur 5W+1H, tetapi penekanan unsur yang dilakukan keduanya berbeda. Liputan6.com dan Kumparan.com juga membawa tiga tema yang berbeda satu sama lainnya. Liputan6.com mengusung tiga tema, yaitu 1) Mural dinilai sebagai tindakan yang sewenang-wenang, 2) Tindakan aparat polisi berbanding terbalik dengan pidato presiden yang mengaku tidak antikritik, dan 3) Sikap pihak kepolisian yang seharusnya santai saja di dalam menanggapi mural Jokowi 404: Not Found bukan malah menanggapinya dengan serius. Kumparan.com juga membawa tiga tema, yaitu 1) Mural dinilai sebagai tindakan yang melawan hukum, 2) Presiden tidak anti terhadap kritik, dan 3) Sikap pihak kepolisian yang tidak represif, tetapi justru menghargai ekspresi masyarakat. Adapun dari struktur retoris, kedua media ini menggunakan pilihan kata, frasa, atau klausa tertentu untuk menekankan fakta yang diangkat. The purpose of this research is to find out the framing of the removal of murals case in Liputan6.com and Kumparan.com. The method used in this research is de-scriptive qualitative with data collection techniques is documentation. The main theory in this research is the theory of framing model Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki which consists of four structures, syntax, script, thematic, and rhetori-cal. The results of the study show that in compiling facts, Liputan6.com uses sources from various parties such as the government, opposition parties, politi-cians, and the police. Meanwhile, Kumparan.com uses sources only from the gov-ernment and police. From the script structure, the two media have completed all the 5W+1H elements, but the emphasis on the elements is different. Liputan6.com and Kumparan.com also carry three different themes from each other. Lipu-tan6.com carries three themes, such as 1) The mural is considered as an arbitrary action, 2) The actions of the police officers are inversely proportional to the presi-dent's speech which claims not to be anti-criticism, and 3) The attitude of the police should be relaxed in responding to mural of Jokowi 404: Not Found instead of tak-ing it seriously. Kumparan.com also carries three themes, such as 1) Murals are considered as an act against the law, 2) The President is not anti-criticism, and 3) The attitude of the police is not repressive, but instead respects community expres-sions. As for the rhetorical structure, both of these media use certain choices of words, phrases or clauses to emphasize the facts raised.
