Abstract

Penelitian ini secara garis besar memiliki tujuan yaitu: untuk mengetahui peran pembina asrama dan pola pembinaan yang diberikan terhadap santri di Pondok Pesantren Medina Umah Cendekia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu para pembina asrama, dan santri yang terlibat dalam proses pembinaan. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Medina Umah Cendekia yang beralamat di Jl. Pantai Dangas, Villa Teluk Angin RT.02/RW.005, Kel. Tanjung Pinggir, Kec. Sekupang, Kota Batam, Kepulauan Riau. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa peran pembina asrama memiliki beberapa tanggung jawab antara lain menjadi pengganti orangtua santri secara keseluruhan yaitu berperan sebagai guru, tauladan, keluarga, bahkan menjadi mediasi antara anak dengan keluarganya, dan mampu menerapkan standar peran seorang pembina yang sesuai berdasarkan pola pembinaan yang ada, salah satunya adalah melakukan pendekatan personal untuk mengetahui secara mendalam mengenai latar belakang para santrinya. Selain itu, keberhasilan dari para pembina asrama di Pondok Pesantren Medina Umah Cendekia tersebut mampu menjadikan para santri-santrinya menjadi manusia yang bermartabat tinggi, berakhlakul karimah, serta menjunjung tinggi nilai keilmuan dalam hidup bermasyarakat. The Role Of Hostel Supervisors In Coaching The Students At The Medina Umah Cendekia Islamic Boarding School. Thesis. Jakarta: Community Education Study Program, Faculty of Education, Jakarta State University, 2023. This research broadly has a purpose, namely: to determine the role of dormitory coaches and the pattern of coaching given to students at the Medina Umah Cendekia Islamic Boarding School. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data of this study were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were dormitory coaches, walisantri, and students involved in the coaching process. The location of the study was conducted at the Medina Umah Cendekia Islamic Boarding School which is located at Jl. Pantai Dangas, Villa Teluk Angin RT.02 / RW.005, Tanjung Pinggir District, Sekupang District, Batam City, Riau Islands. The results of the study explained that the role of dormitory coach has several responsibilities, including being a substitute for student parents as a whole, namely acting as a teacher, tauladan, family, even mediating between children and their families, and being able to apply the appropriate role standards of a coach based on existing coaching patterns, one of which is taking a personal approach to know in depth about the background of the students. In addition, the success of the dormitory coaches at the Medina Umah Cendekia Islamic Boarding School was able to make their students become human beings with high dignity, charitable character, and uphold scientific values in social life.
