Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-esteem terhadap interaksi parasosial pada penggemar idola K-Pop usia dewasa awal. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode analisis regresi sederhana. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 200 responden yang merupakan penggemar idola K-Pop berusia 18-40 tahun. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) rancangan dari Rosenberg (1965) dan Parasocial Interaction Scale (PSI) rancangan dari Tsay dan Bodine (2012). Analisis yang dilakukan memperoleh nilai signifikansi (Sig.) sebesar 0,341 > 0,05. Dengan demikian, self-esteem tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap interaksi parasosial pada penggemar idola K-Pop usia dewasa awal. This study aims to determine the effect of self-esteem on parasocial interactions in early adulthood of K-Pop idol fans. Using a quantitative approach with a simple regression analysis method. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total sample of 200 respondents who are fans of K-Pop idols aged 18-40 years old. The measurement tools used are the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) by Rosenberg (1965) and the Parasocial Interaction Scale (PSI) by Tsay and Bodine (2012). The analysis obtained a significance value (Sig.) of 0.341 > 0.05. Thus, self-esteem does not have a significant effect on parasocial interactions in early adulthood of K-Pop idol fans.
