Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan implementasi dan kendala dari program magang dan studi independen bersertifikat di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bagaimana program ini diimplementasikan di fakultas ilmu sosial, serta mengidentifikasi kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam implementasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Wawancara dilakukan dengan pihak-pihak terkait seperti koorprodi, dan mahasiswa peserta program. Subjek penelitian adalah 5 orang koorprodi, Wakil Dekan, 5 orang mahasiswa peserta program dan juga seorang pakar pendidikan sebagai informan triangulasi penelitian. Data juga dikumpulkan melalui studi dokumentasi untuk melihat kebijakan dan pedoman yang ada terkait implementasi program magang dan studi independen bersertifikat di fakultas ilmu sosial. Kemudian hasil penemuan lapangan akan dikaji dengan teori institusional. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun program magang dan studi independen bersertifikat telah diimplementasikan di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Jakarta, belum semua program studi dalam fakultas tersebut memberikan konversi SKS. Kendala utama yang diidentifikasi adalah program-program yang belum sepenuhnya relevan dengan profil lulusan dari masing-masing program studi, sehingga terdapat kekhawatiran akan hilangnya kekhususan dan identitas jurusan. Selain itu, terdapat juga penolakan konversi SKS dari sebagian program studi, yang menjadi hambatan bagi mahasiswa yang ingin mengikuti program magang dan studi independen bersertifikat. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sosialisasi yang lebih baik serta pelatihan dosen dan penyesuaian terhadap fleksibilitas konversi SKS agar implementasi dapat berjalan dengan lebih baik. This study aims to describe the implementation and constraints of the certified internship and independent study program at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The purpose of this study is to understand how this program is implemented in the faculty of social sciences, as well as to identify the obstacles faced in its implementation. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation studies. Interviews were conducted with relevant parties such as coordinator, and students participating in the program. The research subjects were 5 coordinator, Vice Dean, 5 students participating in the program and also an education expert as a research triangulation informant. Data were also collected through documentation studies to see existing policies and guidelines related to the implementation of internship programs and certified independent studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences. Then the results of field findings will be reviewed with institutional theory. The results of this study indicate that although internship and certified independent study programs have been implemented at the Faculty of Social Sciences programs have been implemented at the Faculty of Social Sciences, State University of Jakarta, not all study programs within the faculty have provided SKS conversion. The main obstacle identified is that the programs are not yet fully relevant to the profile of graduates from each study program, so there are concerns about the loss of specificity and identity of the department. In addition, there is also a refusal to convert credits from some study programs, which is an obstacle for students who want to take part in internships and certified independent study programs. To ensure the proram can be properly implemented the faculty should consider giving their lecturers some training so they can familiarize themselves with the program. The ministry of education can also consider a more flexible approach in terms of the number of credits that will be converted.
