Abstract

ABSTRAK Poros maritim dunia adalah Nawacita pemerintah Indonesia, dan langkah awal menuju cita-cita luhur itu adalah pengenalan literasi atau pengetahuan kemaritiman sedari usia dini. Kurangnya ragam media dan materi kemaritiman pada jenjang PAUD mengenai kemaritiman menyebabkan kurangnya pengetahuan anak tentang kemaritiman terlebih sains kehidupan laut. Guru juga merasa perlu media yang mudah mereka gunakan untuk menyampaikan sains kehidupan laut atau kemaritiman. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat media berbasis karpet main atau boardgame yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan sains kehidupan laut anak usia 5 – 6 tahun di Kota Bogor. Peneliti menggunakan metode research and development dengan desain pengembangan ADDIE, sedangkan pengolahan data dilakukan dengan pendekatan mixed method kualitatif dan kuantitatif desain convergent parallel. Pengolahan data kualitatif dilakukan untuk uji kelayakan melalui uji pakar serta pengumpulan catatan lapangan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Pengolahan data kuantitatif untuk uji efektifitas melalui uji-t satu arah dengan signifikansi 0,05 pada kelompok besar preexperimental one group pretest posttest. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa media ini layak digunakan guru untuk tema kemaritiman dari segi tampilan, materi, dan kualitas. Selain itu, uji efektifitas yang dilihat dari hasil uji-t satu arah menunjukan hasil thitung > ttabel yaitu 48,59 > 1,699 yang membuktikan hipotesis media karpet main mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan sains kehidupan laut. Oleh karena itu, dapat diambil kesimpulan pengembangan media “Brave Adventure of Sailorman” efektif dan layak untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan sains kehidupan laut anak usia 5 – 6 tahun di Kota Bogor. THE DEVELOPMENT OF PLAYMATS MEDIA “BRAVE ADVENTURE OF SAILORMAN” TO INCREASE MARINE LIFE SCIENCES KNOWLEDGE IN CHILDREN AGED 5 - 6 YEARS IN BOGOR CITY ABSTRACT The world's maritime axis is the Nawacita of the Indonesian government. The first step towards these lofty ideals is the introduction of maritime literacy or knowledge from an early age. The lack of a variety of maritime media and material at the early childhood education level causes a lack of children's knowledge about maritime affairs, especially marine life sciences. Teachers also feel the need for media that they can easily use to convey marine or maritime life sciences. The purpose of this research is to create a carpet-based media or board game that can be used to increase the science knowledge of marine life for children aged 5-6 years in Bogor. Researchers used the ADDIE research and development design method, while data processing was carried out using a mixed qualitative and quantitative method approach convergent parallel design. Qualitative data processing is carried out for due diligence through expert testing and collection of field notes, interviews, and documentation. Quantitative data processing to test effectiveness through a one-way t-test with a significance of 0.05 in the large group pre-experimental one group pretest posttest. The results of the study prove that this media is suitable for use by teachers for maritime themes in terms of appearance, material, and quality. In addition, the effectiveness test as seen from the results of the one-way t-test shows the results of tcount > ttable, namely 48.59 > 1.699 which proves the hypothesis that playing carpet media can increase knowledge of marine life sciences. Therefore, it can be concluded that the development of "Brave Adventure of Sailorman" media is effective and feasible to increase knowledge of marine life sciences for children aged 5-6 years in Bogor City.
