Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi dampak Economics Education terhadap pengembangan Entrepreneurial Knowledge dan Entrepreneurial Competence pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) jurusan bisnis dan pemasaran di Jakarta Timur. Penelitian ini melibatkan 247 responden siswa sebagai sampel, dengan menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) untuk menganalisis hubungan antara variabel Economics Education, Entrepreneurial Knowledge, dan Entrepreneurial Competence. Indikator-indikator penelitian diukur melalui kuesioner dengan skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari Economics Education terhadap Entrepreneurial Knowledge dan Entrepreneurial Competence. Validitas dan reliabilitas indikator-indikator penelitian juga terbukti signifikan. Selain itu, analisis goodness of fit index mengindikasikan bahwa model yang diajukan memiliki tingkat kesesuaian yang baik dengan data. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi pengembangan pendidikan kewirausahaan dan pengembangan kompetensi kewirausahaan siswa. Implikasi teoretis dan praktis dari penelitian ini memberikan dasar yang kuat bagi pengembangan program pendidikan yang lebih efektif dan relevan dalam mempersiapkan siswa untuk menjadi wirausaha yang sukses dan inovatif di masa depan. Kata Kunci : economics education, entrepreneurial knowledge, entrepreneurial competence *** This study aims to investigate the impact of Economics Education on the development of Entrepreneurial Knowledge and Entrepreneurial Competence in Vocational High School (SMK) students majoring in business and marketing in East Jakarta. This study involved 247 student respondents as a sample, using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method to analyze the relationship between Economics Education, Entrepreneurial Knowledge, and Entrepreneurial Competence variables. Research indicators were measured through questionnaires with Likert scales. The results showed a positive and significant influence of Economics Education on Entrepreneurial Knowledge and Entrepreneurial Competence. The validity and reliability of the research indicators also proved significant. In addition, the goodness of fit index analysis indicates that the proposed model has a good level of conformity with the data. This research provides valuable insights for the development of entrepreneurship education and the development of students' entrepreneurial competencies. The theoretical and practical implications of this research provide a solid basis for the development of more effective and relevant educational programs in preparing students to become successful and innovative entrepreneurs of the future.
