Abstract

Berbagai permasalahan dalam proses difusi inovasi kurikulum di tingkat sekolah meliputi terbatasnya keterlibatan stakeholder, kualitas sumberdaya manusia, dan pendampingan kurikulum. Dalam konteks ini, muncul ide baru yaitu kurikulum merdeka belajar, yang menjadi fokus bagi pimpinan sekolah dan guru di sekolah menengah atas. Namun, untuk mewujudkan konsep ini secara efektif dan efisien, penting untuk menjalankan proses difusi inovasi kurikulum merdeka belajar secara sistematis. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian pada konteks proses difusi inovasi yang terkait atribut inovasi, laju adopsi inovasi, pemanfaatan saluran komunikasi, proses inovasi kurikulum oleh organisasi sekolah dan peran kepala sekolah serta guru yang menjadi agen perubahan dalam sistem sosial sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis secara deskriptif proses pelaksanaan difusi inovasi kurikulum merdeka belajar di sekolah menengah atas (SMA) di Kota Bogor, Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian difusi (diffusion research) yang dikembangkan oleh Rogers, untuk mendapatkan data tentang persepsi guru terhadap atribut inovasi kurikulum merdeka belajar, laju adopsi berdasarkan tahap: pengetahuan, persuasif, keputusan, implementasi dan konfirmasi mulai tahun 2020 sampai tahun 2023, penggunaan jenis saluran komunikasi dalam mengkomunikasikan inovasi kurikulum merdeka, inovasi kurikulum merdeka belajar dalam organisasi sekolah, peran agen perubahan sebagai bagian sistem sosial sekolah dalam proses difusi inovasi kurikulum merdeka belajar. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakkan observasi, analisis dokumen, wawancara dan kuesioner. Sumber data diperoleh dari observasi, analisis dokumen, wawancara dan kuesioner persepsi Kepala Sekolah/Wakil Kepala Sekolah, serta Guru. Teknik pengambilan sampel informan penelitian yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa atribut inovasi kurikulum merdeka belajar telah disetujui dan diimplementasi di sekolah menengah atas, inovasi kurikulum merdeka belajar teradopsi secera efektif dengan pemanfaatan saluran komunikasi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan perkembangan alat komunikasi serta media masa, proses inovasi kurikulum merdeka belajar dalam organisasi disetujui oleh semua komponen organisasi sekolah dan peran agen perubahan sangat efektif dilakukan oleh pimpinan sekolah dan guru dalam mengkomunikasikan proses difusi inovasi sampai pada proses penyebaran hasil inovasi kurikulum merdeka belajar dalam konteks sistem sosial sekolah. Kata kunci: Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar, Difusi Inovasi, Sekolah Menengah Atas Various issues in the curriculum innovation diffusion process at the school level include limited stakeholder involvement, human resource quality, and curriculum guidance. In this context, a new idea emerges –"Merdeka Belajar" (Independent Learning) Curriculum – which becomes the focus for school principals and teachers in high schools. However, to effectively and efficiently realize this concept, it is crucial to implement the diffusion process of Independent Learning Curriculum innovation systematically. Therefore, a study is needed in the context of the innovation diffusion process that pertains to innovation attributes, the pace of innovation adoption, communication channel utilization, the curriculum innovation process within school organizations, and the roles of school principals and teachers as agents of change within the school's social system. The objective of this research is to descriptively analyze the implementation process of Independent Learning Curriculum innovation diffusion in senior high schools (SMA) in Bogor, West Java. This study employs the diffusion research methodology developed by Rogers to obtain data regarding teachers' perceptions towards the attributes of Independent Learning Curriculum innovation, the adoption rate based on stages: knowledge, persuasion, decision, implementation, and confirmation, spanning from 2020 to 2023, the use of communication channels to communicate Independent Learning Curriculum innovation, the integration of the innovation within school organizations, and the agents of change role as part of the school's social system in the process of diffusing Independent Learning Curriculum innovation. Data collection techniques encompass observation, document analysis, interviews, and questionnaires. Data sources are derived from observations, document analysis, interviews, and questionnaires administered to School Principals/Vice Principals and Teachers. The informant sampling technique utilized is purposive sampling. Data analysis employs qualitative descriptive analysis according to Miles and Huberman. Research findings indicate that the attributes of Independent Learning Curriculum innovation have been approved and disseminated within the school environment. Independent Learning Curriculum innovation is effectively adopted with the utilization of communication channels that align with communication tool developments and mass media. The curriculum innovation process within the organization gains approval from all school organizational components, and the role of agents of change is effectively carried out by school leaders and teachers in communicating the innovation diffusion process, culminating in the dissemination Independent Learning Curriculum innovation outcomes within the school's social system context.
