Abstract

Sanabila Qudwah Amaliah. PERSEPSI SISWA TERHADAP FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KESULITAN BELAJAR IPS (Studi Deskriptif Kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Depok). Skripsi. Program Studi Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial. Fakultas Ilmu Sosial. Universitas Negeri Jakarta. 2019. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa terhadap faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesulitan belajar IPS kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Depok. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII- 7, VII- 8, dan VII- 9 berjumlah 31 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, angket (kuesioner), dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesulitan belajar IPS kelas VII- 7, VII- 8, dan VII- 9, pelajaran IPS merupakan pelajaran yang cukup sulit. Dikatakan sulit karena siswa tidak mengerti materi yang disampaikan dan siswa kurang membaca buku IPS. Selain itu, motivasi belajar siswa, dalam pembelajaran IPS ada rewardnya sehingga siswa jadi semangat dan tertarik untuk belajar IPS. Kemudian, di lingkungan sekolah, menurut siswa saat pembelajaran guru hanya menerangkan materi dengan ceramah saja, sehingga siswa bosan dan menjadi kurang paham dengan materi yang dijelaskan. Dan di lingkungan rumah tidak lupa, orang tua siswa membantu jika anak mereka merasa kesulitan dalam mengerjakan tugas dari sekolah dan memperhatikan dengan menanyakan kepada anaknya bagaimana aktivitas selama di sekolah. (Descriptive Study Student of Class VII SMP Negeri 10 Depok. Essay. Study Program of Social Sciences. Faculty of Social Sciences. State University of Jakarta. 2019. This study aims to know student’s perceptions of factors affecting learning difficulties in social studies of class VII SMP Negeri 10 Depok. This research uses a descriptive method. The subject of this research is students of class VII- 7, VII-8, and VII-9 there were 31 students. The technique of data collection using observation, questionnaire (questionnaires), and interviews. The results showed that student perceptions factors affecting learning difficulties in social studies of class VII-7, VII-8, and VII-9, social studies is such a difficult subject. It is difficult because students mostly do not understand about the material that they want to present and students are lazy to read the books more. However, there are can motivate the students, in social studies learning such as giving them some rewards so that students become excited and interested in learning social studies. Then, in the school environment, according to students during teacher’s teaching only giving them the explaination about the material with theories only, so students will easily get bored and become less familiar with the material describe. And in their home evironment, parents need to encourage them to be more active and ask their children if they find any difficulty to do the work from school and pay attention by asking their children how the activities during school.
