Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi peristiwa tutur yang mengandung alih kode dan campur kode serta mengidentifikasi wujud, jenis, dan faktor penyebab terjadinya alih kode dan campur kode dalam acara varietas Produce 101 Japan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data berasal dari percakapan yang terjadi di dalam acara varietas Produce 101 Japan antara peserta, juri, dan perwakilan produser nasional. Data yang ditemukan kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teori pembagian jenis alih kode yang dikemukakan oleh Hymes dan Hudson dan analisis faktor penyebab alih kode menggunakan teori Chaer dan Agustina. Pembagian jenis dan faktor penyebab terjadinya campur kode dianalisis menggunakan teori yang dikemukakan oleh Suandi. Analisis tersebut diperkuat dengan teori delapan (8) komponen peristiwa tutur (SPEAKING) oleh Hymes. Berdasarkan analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam acara varietas Produce 101 Japan, ditemukan sebanyak 21 data yang terdiri dari 3 data alih kode dan 18 data campur kode. Faktor penyebab campur kode yang mendominasi adalah penggunaan istilah yang lebih populer. Hal ini tidak terlepas dari para peserta acara varietas Produce 101 Japan yang berentang usia remaja sampai pertengahan 20-an dan memiliki latar belakang yang berbeda seperti daerah asal, pekerjaan, dan kewarganegaraannya. Selain peserta, latar belakang perwakilan produser nasional yang merupakan duo komedian dan para juri yang merupakan profesional di bidangnya masing-masing juga melatar belakangi faktor penyebab campur kode. Kata kunci: alih kode, campur kode, peristiwa tutur. ***** The purpose of this study is to identify speech events that contain code-switching and code-mixing as well as identify the forms, types, and factors that cause code-switching and code-mixing in the Produce 101 Japan variety show. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The source of the data comes from conversations that occur in the variety show Produce 101 Japan between trainees, judges, and national producers representatives. The data found were then analyzed using the theory of dividing the types of code switching by Hymes and Hudson and analyzing the causes of code switching using the theory of Chaer and Agustina. The types and factors that cause code-mixing to occur are analyzed using the theory by Suandi. This analysis is reinforced by the theory of eight (8) components of speech events (SPEAKING) by Hymes. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that in the Produce 101 Japan variety show, 21 data were found consisting of 3 code-switching data and 18 code-mixing data. The factor causing code mixing that dominates is the use of more popular terms. This is inseparable from the trainess in the Produce 101 Japan variety show, who range in age from their teens to their mid-20s and have different backgrounds, such as their area of origin, occupation, and nationality. Apart from the trainess, the backgrounds of the national producers representatives who are a comedian duo and the judges who are professionals in their respective fields also have a background in the causes of code mixing.
