Abstract

Penelitian evaluasi ini bertujuan untuk menilai unsur dan prinsip desain pesan yang terdapat di dalam media pembelajaran berupa buku bergambar “Berkunjung ke BASARNAS” yang digunakan oleh Basarnas dalam kegiatan SAR Goes to School. Model evaluasi yang digunakan adalah model evaluasi sumatif dari Dick and Carey. Pada model evaluasi sumatif Dick & Carey ada dua tahapan yang digunakan, yaitu fase Expert Judgement dan fase Field Trial. Evaluasi sumatif yang dilakukan dalam pengembangan ini melibatkan ahli media (Expert Judgement) dan pengguna (Field Trial). Berdasarkan penilaian yang dilakukan, dinyatakan bahwa media pembelajaran berupa buku bergambar “Berkunjung ke BASARNAS” secara umum sudah menerapkan unsur dan prinsip desain pesan dengan hasil yang secara umum dapat dikategorikan sebagai “baik” dan sesuai dengaan teori yang digunakan dalam menyusun intrumen untuk penelitian ini yaitu teori prinsip desain pesan oleh Widyaningrum dan teori aspek desain pesan oleh Molenda. ***** This evaluative research aims to assess the elements and principles of message design found in the instructional media in the form of an illustrated book titled "Visiting BASARNAS," used by BASARNAS (Indonesian Search and Rescue Agency) in their SAR Goes to School program. The evaluation model utilized is the summative evaluation model by Dick and Carey. Within the Dick & Carey summative evaluation model, two stages are employed: Expert Judgment phase and Field Trial phase. The summative evaluation conducted in this development involves both media experts (expert judgment) and users (Field Trial). Based on the assessments made, it is concluded that the instructional media in the form of the illustrated book "Visiting BASARNAS" generally applies the elements and principles of message design effectively in accordance with the theories used to construct the research instrument, namely the message design principles theory by Widyaningrum and the message design aspect theory by Molenda.
