Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana penggunaan eksklusi dan inklusi dalam pemberitaan UAS dideportasi Singapura pada Media Tempo. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri. Peneliti juga dibantu oleh buku-buku dan artikel daring yang mengandung teori Analisis Wacana model Theo Van Leeuwen. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik baca dan catat. Sumber data berasal dari wacana pemberitaan mengenai UAS dideportasi Singapura di media Tempo yang terbit pada tahun 2022. Analisis data dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) tidak ditemukan bentuk strategi eksklusi dalam pemberitaannya; (2) penggunaan strategi inklusi meliputi objektivasi- abstraksi, nominasi-kategorisasi, determinasi-indeterminasi, dan asimilasi- individualisasi. Peneliti lain dapat menggunakan hasil penelitian ini sebagai bahan referensi dan dapat menambahkan teori pendukung dengan tujuan menambah dalam analisis data penelitian. Kata kunci: Analisis Wacana, Model ***** Theo Van Leeuwen, Eksklusi, Inklusi, Teks Berita UAS Dideportasi Singapura. ***** This study aims to identify how the use of exclusion and inclusion in the news of UAS being deported from Singapore in Tempo Media. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive method. The instrument of this research is the researcher himself. The researcher is also assisted by books and online articles containing Theo Van Leeuwen's Discourse Analysis theory. The data collection techniques used are reading and recording techniques. The data source comes from the news discourse about UAS being deported by Singapore in Tempo media published in 2022. Data analysis was carried out through several stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that (1) no form of exclusion strategy was found in the news; (2) the use of inclusion strategies includes objectivation-abstraction, nomination-categorization, determination-indetermination, and assimilation-individualization. Other researchers can use the results of this study as reference material and can add supporting theories with the aim of adding to the analysis of research data.
