Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran loneliness pada lansia di Panti Wreda. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 63 orang lansia yang diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data pada penelitian ini merupakan hasil adopsi dari 6-Item De Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale (α=0,611) teori Gierveld & Tilburg yang telah diadaptasi oleh Komang Bara Wedaloka dan S. S. Turnip. Hasil perhitungan data menunjukan lansia yang tinggal di Panti Wreda Budi Mulia 4 sebagian besar lansia merasakan kesepian dari 63 orang lansia sebanyak 56 (88,89%) lansi berada pada kategori kesepian dan 7 (11,11%) lansia berada pada kategori tidak kesepian. Aspek yang mendominasi dalam kesepian adalah aspek kesepian emosional yaitu kesepian yang sumbernya berasal dari ketidakhadiran sosok figur intim atau tidak adanya kelekatan emosi oleh orang terdekat. Kata Kunci: Kesepian, lansia, panti wreda This research aims to provide an overview of loneliness among the elderly in nursing home. A quantitative descriptive method was employed for this study. The sample consisted of 63 elderly individuals selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument used to collect data was an adaptation of the 6- Item De Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale (α=0.611), based on the Gierveld & Tilburg theory, as adapted by Komang Bara Wedaloka and S. S. Turnip. The data calculations revealed that a majority of the elderly in nursing home Budi Mulia 4, specifically 56 out of 63 elderly individuals (88.89%) experienced loneliness, while 7 (11.11%) elderly individuals did not experience loneliness. The dominant aspect of loneliness was emotional loneliness, stemming from the absence of an intimate figure or a lack of emotional attachment from close individuals.
