Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-esteem terhadap kecemburuan pada emerging adulthood yang sedang menjalani hubungan romantic berpacaran di Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen penelitian Multidimensional Jealousy Scale (MJS), dan Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 132 emerging adulthood yang sedang menjalani hubungan pacaran di Jakarta diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik insidental sampling. Untuk menguji hipotesis pada penelitian, analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear sederhana Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara self-esteem dan kecemburuan. This study aims to determine the effect of self-esteem on jealousy in adulthood who are undergoing romantic relationships in Jakarta. This research uses quantitative methods. Data collection techniques used the Multidimensional Jealousy Scale (MJS) research instrument from Pffeifer and Wong (1989), and Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (1965). The sample of this study was 132 young adults who were having a romantic relationship in Jakarta which were obtained using an incidental sampling technique. To test the hypothesis in research, the analysis used is simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was no significant effect between self-esteem and jealousy.
